IRONWOOD -- Traffic was slowed on W. Cloverland Drive Wednesday morning when an axle broke on a semi trailer and oil spilled on the roadway.
The four-lane highway was reduced to two lanes around 10:15 a.m. near the Sawdust Bin while the semi rig was disabled and used motor oil had to be cleaned off the road surface, according to an Ironwood Public Safety Department report.
The public safety report said the semi was transporting 7,000 gallons of the used motor oil when the rear axle came off the trailer.
