I WILL TELL YOU THIS, I WAS GOING ACROSS THE PA PIKE THE OTHER DAY AND I SEEN A SIGN, NO NOT FROM GOD BUT FROM HEARTLAND TRKG.:USA: AND I COULD NOT BELIVE MY EYES!! THER WAS A SIGN THAT SAID TO PAY .54c A MILE!! :shades: NOW I DON'T KNOW HOW THERE PROGRAM WORKS OR IF THEY DO A LOT OF HUMPING FRT etc.BUT I DO KNOW THIS THEY DO LITTLE LTL AND A LOT OF STRAIGHT LOADS. HELL LOOK AT IT THIS WAY SAY IF YOU GET 2500 MILES A WEEK WHICH A KNOW A LOT OF GUYS DO AND THAT IS NOT HARD WORKING THAT COMES OUT TO $1350.00 A WEEK AND YOU DONT HAVE TO DO A MILLION STOPS.NOW THAT IS PROVIDED THAT YOU GET THAT MANY. I CAN'T SEE WHY NOT?I KNOW YOU ROAD GUYS MAKE MORE THAN THAT BUT IT JUST A THOUGHT. I KNOW IF I WAS ON THE ROAD I WAS INQUIER ABOT THAT. INSTEAD OF PUTTING UP WITH THE :butthead: AT THIS PLACE

:beerchug:

That .54 cents probably includes all stop pay,
bonuses,vacation,etc.That is the way some
companys market.Value of all compensation and
divide by miles.Do the math.With stops,bet we
do around .60 per mile

Believe the .54 is for what they call their "green miles" only. New England and NYC. I'll take my .51 and 15.65 stop pay and stay in the midwest anyday.

You can bet I will be staying. Everyone always thinks it is greener on the other side. I have looked at other pay packages before I came to here.

How the program works...
Our drivers enjoy the top pay in the industry for all the miles they drive, but when they cross into an area we call the "green zone" they are paid an additional 4 cents per mile for the dispatched miles in that area. The "green zone" is the area north and east of I-81 from Maryland north.

I actually worked for Heartland many years ago, they are not a bad co, they are strict about logs and matching receipts, they track with Qualcom but most of their drivers know how to turn that off.
They have lots of spotted trailers so if you have the hrs available to run that is usually not a problem.

The experience rates. Is that hired off the street
or years with the co??I took my W2 and divided
by miles, aprox 120000 and came up with 56/mile
Not bad running east of mississippi river and home 99% of every weekend.Maybe 1.5 days a week in the green zone

I Was Just Saying, A Friend Of Mine Has Worked There And He Showed Me His W-2 It Was Not Bad. He Is Home On Weekends ,and Does A Lot Less Stops Than Us And He Made 63,000 And Change. Look I Am Not Saying We Are A Bad Co. What I Am Saying Is That I Think We Should Get More $$$$ For The Work That We Do. You Got To Admit, That Peddlling Frt. Is A Lot Harder That Just Going To Point A To B
