The hole digger is ccx. Can't help himself
Well, it depends on your way of thinking, whether you're reactive or proactive.
If you had a tire on your car that was losing air, maybe you would just give it air once a week. Or maybe you would give it air for now, then plug it later. Either solution will work, one temporarily, one permanently.
So, if you had a choice, would you punish criminals, and be done with it? Or would you punish criminals, and also address the root causes of the crime?
Loon I see my posts replying to ccx posts. Does it not come thru to others? I'm not a technocrat. Gonna take a few days in the new site to get comfortable...
Do the crime, do the time. Life isn't really complicated. Brown got what he deserved. Verstehen Se? (Do you understand?)
I saw it too, I'm not sure what he's talking about.
I assumed you thought poverty was the leading cause of people in prison from your statement. Just using the numbers we have to go with the subject. More whites in poverty should equal more whites in prison if poverty was the leading cause. I have no doubt poverty is a factor in crime but don't see it as an excuse to commit crimes.
But that's not really in dispute, even Mike Browns supporters would have preferred he did the time.
What I'm trying to do, is expand your way of thinking, to consider the root causes involved. Poverty is just one of them.
To address the root cause and effect in the black community, they better come up with some new leaders, instead of the ones casting blame on everyone except the root cause.
It's a factor, maybe the biggest one (how many rich people go to prison?), but not the only one.
And I stated, whites must not result to violence to solve their problems.. I don't disagree with your numbers, but there has to be a reason "why".. IMO, that's a big one...
I agree.. They need someone to tell them the truth, rather than someone who gives them another excuse..
I've tried 'expanding'. Ends up distorting the truth. Einstein established for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. And God boiled everything down to where Ten rules cover every situation we'll encounter. Do the crime, do the time. All else is excuses...
Poke a snake, get bit. Animals know the truth...
It's not the poverty itself, it's the expectation that someone else (the government) can do something about it. It can't, it's up to the individual.
Define rich? Justice is blind but it isn't free. Do you think more poor people go to jail because they can't afford a lawyer (free lawyer = get what you pay for) or they just commit more crimes?
Children having children isn't helpful either. Unfortunately government involvement encourages this.
It may be a big one but to use it as an excuse is unacceptable, to accept it as an excuse is inexcusable. Not saying you accept it but some leaders do and defend it .
Oh contraire my dear man... CNN,NBC,MSNBC and CBS produced numbers that "more blacks go to prison because of the lack of funds available to them for decent court defense"..
No doubt good lawyers matter, take the OJ Simpson case for example.
Why do more blacks have court dates would be a better question..
It's funny, in all the statistical accounts that these people spew out, they never take to the real root of the problem.. That's why I view stats and polls, with very little respect... Because you can interview 10 people on the streets of New Orleans and call it a poll.. Well, to me, those people may or may not speak for what I believe.. Like asking some folks who the V.P. of the US is, and not knowing.. I don't want those type of folks speaking for me..
