Hagerstown is a absolute working mountain town. Dominated by the railroads. They are also a bedroom community for the power base in DC.
Its not my first choice for a hotel in Maryland. There are times I have rejected a suite or room etc when the door is opened and reveals a variety of problems that are not acceptable. Not necessarily in Maryland. You learned not to stay in hotels there. I have a couple tucked away in the area but have no idea if they are still in business all these years.
