To be quite honest I personally haven't heard any linehaul drivers wanting to go to the city, I only hear city drivers bitching about not being able to use their "company" time. That being said I think Estes would have an extremely hard time retaining drivers if they let this rumor become a reality.

Much more sacrifices becoming a linehaul driver than a city for most. Some were at the right place at the right time. Took me nearly 7 years to end up with a gravy bid. Every city driver knows they need to go extraboard and earn time. They chose not to. Maybe for good reason. Some don't like working nights. Some think Jody is going to steal their woman. Probably more about Jody than anything else.
    Just my opinion
I've been accused of being Jody a time or ten

I heard a rumor at the coffee shop that all CDL holders will require a tattoo on their forehead signifying their job classification. Road, linehaul, OTR and team drivers will say "Loser", city drivers will say "Idiot", flatbed, tanker and car haul will say "Crazy" and dump truck drivers will say ":censored:".

Truck drivers say the craziest things sometimes. But maybe I should get ahead of the trend and write "Loser" on my forehead just in case.

I heard that we are all going to be merged into one , even the yard jockeys but they have to use the yard horse for their truck. Dock will be combing with office. It should be really a great thing.

I heard DHL was buying Estes, because their trucks are already painted the right color to match those little step vans....

Because of the 5 different categories thats what happened to alot of drivers in 08 when it got slow, linehaul was screwed, let go of guys that been there like 10 years and kept 3 month old flex drivers cause they could work the dock, but when I was a green board driver I worked the dock for the 2 hub runs we had the time. I was Linehaul, then went to Hub and got a lovely weds night start when after being there for 9 plus years, long story short just look back on what Ive said before, glad I left cause now I work the Dock and know where I stand, and my time matters, Categorys suck...

I'm wondering if you had to go to Hub or did you have a choice to stay line haul if you wanted to? Furthermore, in all of my 15 years with this company I can't recall a Hub run with a Wednesday start.
