Thats why my Dad is on the picket line. He gave many years to OHFL. To see a arrogant person like ED talk of faith and then.... Well we know what he did. That is why I say that this fight is between God and the VP men and I mean all of them. I think that the pain being brought down on all of the Striking OHFL employees and on at least 2 of the VP wives is out right Sin. Dave and Ed what about honor thy Mother and Father? What part of escorting your Dad off of OHFL property after you got control of the company is honoring? The fact is..... God is dealing with these 2 boys and the Teamster Families are caught in the middle! When you hold on to something so tight. It causes a lot of pain when God has to pry open your hand to take it away. Just watch and see what the fall out from this is. Mr. Henry V. Your sons have destroyed all that is good and honorable and turned it into a den of theives.:Bondage: I feel sorry for you.:sadwavey:
 
I have seen a lot of speculation here but I want to know how ohfl responded to the charges. I had heard that they had until 12/31 to answer or appeal. Has anyone heard what they are going to do? Is this going to drag out in the courts? A lot of families need an answer. Where the hell is the IBT? They will not answer emails with these same questions. I want to know when all of these great drivers can be back to work.
 
I believe the ultimatum for 12/31 was that they only had until then to settle and agree that they did violate those labor laws and go back to bargaining in good faith. If they did not respond (which we will not know for sure until tomorrow, 1/5, however I think we would have heard something by now if they did agree) then that just means they are denying the claims and will be going to trial.

So any idea how long this will take?
 
Honestly, it's in the hands of the NLRB at this point. It would take a few months, or it could take a few years. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but didn't the Alaska Airlines investigation take about three years?

How about the striking employees start a class action lawsuit and get back pay? OHFL admitted they violated all kinds of things in writing. Or we could just:nutkick: Dave and ED.
 
I think that would be great if there were enough people willing to go forward with it - I would. Does anyone know if that's a possibility?
 
Rumor is out..... The company is going to lay off 40% of its work force:boohoo: Isn't that just too bad! It is such a slow death,:flame: Slowly burning til it smolders. I hope that Mary gets a good lawyer. She should get Half of what the company is worth before the Strike.:argue: The Might Oak is being chopped down and will be sold off like cord wood!:tribehasspoken:
 
Does Ed have to pay for her attorney? I know some states require this. Is there any glimmer of hope for you guys? I saw another **** at Biggs the other day. It makes me sick.

Well if what Kid says is true there will be 40% fewer of them soon! As far as I am concerned the vp's can loose everything they own before this is over, and it may bring them down off of their high horses! Of course then they would blame the teamsters for their own stupidity.:hysterical:

Not really when the vp's keep claiming to be better than every one else, and all high and mighty, this just goes to show once again how self serving they actually are.

People, I am getting to the point where I see no common sence in anyone. We compartmentlize everyone ones life. We have people making really poor choices in their personal lives, then say we can't say anything about their business life or their public life, If a man is a Drunk at home, whether he drinks at work or not he is still and alcohalic! If you are a Sex addict and you get caught using a prostitute (like the Gov. of NY)! then you are immoral in private and it gets out to the public ( after he fought prostitution in his job) He becomes a hypocritical, lying sex addict. People say " Micheal Jackson is such a great singer! The king of Pop" But he seems to like little boys. Where do we draw the line? If you are Scum in one area of your life... you are scum in all of it. Enough said, The Kidd:tribehasspoken:

Kid you missed this part. Looks like Ed has been in trouble before.

My own opinion is that any woman that stays with a cheating man is of low self esteem and is week. Looking at it from ED's eyes>>> The Lord and my wife must give me compassion and forgiveness of sin, But don't ask me to forgive or give compassion to anyone. And if I cause my brother to sin.... ( like I have done to many christians that work at OHFL) .... Because of my indescretions Oh well to hell with them. If Ed struggles in keeping his ..... put away, then he should have left Mary along time ago. But he drags The Lord, his wife, and his kids, and Yes.... EVEN GOOD EMPLOYEES LIKE MY DAD, right down through the mud. My Dad did nothing to hurt or harm Ed V. But Ed has brought pain into the lives of 600 workers of which some are christians. It has cause many co-workers that were friends to become enemies! Put worker in possitions of having no insurance for their ( special needs children ) and healthy children. Dave and Ed care about one thing and one thing only.......MONEY!!!!! Good men and good companies don't do this. "you will know them by their deeds" May all of us find peace in our hearts While God gives these 2 men their lesson on compassion. Dad is willing to no longer work at OHFL and have to find a new job if it means that Dave and ed learn a lesson of what true love and compassion is. The Kidd

But they also feel very strongly that these people (the vp's) have to be stopped and we will keep at it as long as it takes. I know for a fact that they are telling stories about paying bills. The good old check in the mail that never shows up. They are losing their credibilty one brick at a time. Pretty soon the wall will crumble. Then lets bring in the bulldozer and pile it up.
