    3 MAJOR PEOPLE CANNED FRIDAY----INCLUDING THE Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing--looks like all of the "founding fathers" are history. the new boss is cleaning house and cutting the fat .who's next !!

    More than 3. Don't know the titles for the others. I heard 8 were let go but don't know details. Who's left? Just the drivers???

    Hopefully the changes will be good for the people hauling and handling the freight...GL to New Century and employees...

    Friday's seem to be hatchet day. Drivers seem to be immune from the slaughter. Execs and Sales staff are vulnerable.

    Getting rid of high pay exec's .....bringing in new drivers at lower pay and reduced benefits.Sounds like their trying to make bottom line look better so they can sell

    Why would you get rid of sales people if you are trying to increase bottom line?

    new century went down hill as soon as they bought p@p. I never understood that move, except for gaining teva freight. Soon after mike mc came in from another failed trucking company to start running new century in the ground worked well. I watched all the decent drivers quit due to the paycut and how they started treating the drivers. It's a shame too because when I first started working there it was a great place but now all I can say is I'm glad I left last year. When you don't get a raise in 3 plus years why even care. In short, junk freight, Harry leaving for Naples,old equip, no raises, and people not caring any more this place will end up like Jevic.

    Just like with new drivers, you bring in salesman who will work cheaper,lesser benefits,less vacation time,this reduces labor costs.Makes bottom line look good.In the longer term it is death of company.

    Fella's once again you all have bad info. The Jefferies that owns NCTA is Jefferies Capital Partners, not Jefferies the investment bank. Look it up. Jefcap.com owns NCTA. the Jefferies that is listed in in the NY Times article is a diferent entity. I so love how much wrong info is always posted on these boards.

    they always say men are worse than chicks- anyway-- -well , you can't deny New Century is not nearly the same company--all new faces--seems like a new corporate mentality..and you like it or leave it !! but , hey thats business...right ?

    Same old story....when they want something its all about team work ...all for one and one for all....but when the workers want something ...its sorry ..its nothing personal,its just business and if you don't like it there's the door..always great for morale moon2:

    I still can't be leave that TG can't take sometime in the morning to meet with the drivers ...What a :moon2: whats he to good to say hi to the people that gave him a job .. You need drivers TG to move the frt and it's time for a pay increase ... Then again don't pay them i work for another company and make more ...:1sm364jumpbed:...     All i can say is Thank God NCTA has Teva Air Products and Crayola or i think they would be sunk. They don't seem to care about anymore at all. God think back they use to have a cook out for us every memorial day They use to take us out to eat and God they gave us 25.00 one year for driver month. And Raise hell i got a raise to bring me up to what a new hire makes and i havde been hrere for 7 years. wow lol And i gave some of that back with the pay cut. All i can say is time for me to move on. I hope things get better but I see the same goin gon that went on at Jevic. Hell when you see drivers leave that has been here for over 10 years something is wrong.
    Please be safe out there on my way to ohio yup a big run this week. maybe i will hit 1600 miles lol
