Old Dominion Freight Line Earns $0.48 Per Diluted Share For 4th Quarter 2006

Thomasville, N.C. (February 1, 2007) ─ Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. (NASDAQ: ODFL) today announced financial results for the fourth quarter and twelve months ended December 31, 2006. For the quarter, revenue was $319.4 million, an increase of 12.0% from $285.2 million for the fourth quarter of 2005.​

Now you know everything is done for the survival of the mothership.The ones leaving cut costs and made the bottom line look good even in slow times.The bottom line is the main thing.Cut costs equals more profit equals higher stock value equals more investors and the money rolls in and keeps rolling.Do not ever work a job thinking you are irreplaceable or an essential part of it.These companys are big and you're just another number at best.I'm not posting this to make anyone mad or offend anybody.I'm posting this because it is the truth.
