Traffic was brought to a standstill this morning on Hwy. 400 near Barrie when a lumber truck rolled and spilled its load across several lanes.

But the highway is now back up and running after being closed for more than five hours.

The transport truck, which was hauling a loaded flatbed trailer, rolled over just before 6 a.m. as it entered Hwy. 400 south from an on-ramp at County Rd. 88 just south of Barrie, the OPP says.

The crash sent plywood and and 2x4s flying across the highway, forcing the OPP to close the southbound lanes entirely and all but one of the northbound lanes.
