Still no postings from bubba on cspf finances. What’s the matter all talk and no facts. I knew it all along now everyone else knows now. Oh and I like how 63 set you and triplex straight. After all he is in that NY fund. Wrong again you know nothing about our funds.

UPS has since lost 30% of the pkg business. FEDEX got rich and bought RPS(FEDEX GROUND), and CALIBER(FEDEX FREIGHT)

Please Freight, no more propaganda, just got the letter of doom from CSPF. $38,999 per participant. That isn't even beer money for a pension.

Muler, I don't know how you do it. Still feeling giddy after getting the letter of DOOM. $38,999 dollars per participant, that Muler is 2.19 years of pension contributions per ABF employee. Talk about inter generational theft.

You must be in dire financial need as much as you ramble on about the CSPF. If you need financial help... just ask... I'm sure that the members here would pitch in to help. You may not be everyone's favorite charity of the year but a charity just the same.

Actually docker my 401k has grown like a weed, combined with my TEAMSTER/UPS pension, I will live very comfortably in my little house, with a white picket fence, in Mayberry north of the Mason Dixon. Unlike you docker, I have never felt the need to brow beat my fellow TEAMSTERS to vote no on their contract. Your sole motivation for this brow beating. To get ABF to bailout your high dollar pension. Sad docker, you expect CSPF ABF employees to take less, so big pension ABF employees can get more.

Canary, I guess some Teamsters are more equal than other Teamsters.
Canary, are docker and muler your dogs that keep the poor Teamsters in line, so you can live better than them.

You keep referring to animal farm but you always fail to criticize the leadership... why is that? You consistently come here in this jealous rage blasting us but refuse to address it's leadership... why is that? Do you even have a clue as to what animal farm is all about?

You're with UPS....not ABF? And,....apparently your 401(k) is still growing,..so you haven't retired yet.....or have experienced one of those Wall Street "market adjustments"....where you lose half the value?

"Animal Farm" again? You've got to widen your syllabus, you know....Why don't you try "Road to Wigan Pier",...by the same author? Much more of an adult theme,...no allegory there.

Iirc, to switch unions, you would have to decert, then vote in a new union, and it cant be done immediately, there is some stretched out timeframe that benefits the company. I will vote no on this Crapy contract. What is wrong with ABF drivers in just considering this bullshit proposal. Exactly what it is. It doesn't even have the fundamentals to be call a contract. You deserve better, your families deserve better. Stay strong ABF Teamsters brothers.
 
For those that think I want abf to be harmed. YOU WOULD BE WRONG. I want a fair contract and I need it to at least appear they are trying to show me some kind of respect for 39 yeas for service. Ernie cries abf is paying more than most trucking companies. Here is a news flash for you Ernie the Teamster DESTROYER abf has been paying more for over 90 years and we always competed and over came.

The only difference now is we still compete with our competitors but on top of that we have to buy non union companies for arcbest and then we have to give our best business to them. And you punish us for them buying companies with our profits.

Now you want us to let them come to our terminals and take our freight right off our docks. You want our road drivers to sit home for months at a time while the arcbest and scabs come to our terminals and run the loads instead of our driver working. This is the dumbest attempt at a freight contract I have ever heard of.

Ernie has wiped out decades of gains with one contract if it passes.
 
Most of what you people are posting is way over my head. I had to Google a couple of acronyms to somewhat understand the conversation. So, from a not very knowledgeable person on pension reform or MEPF's or any additional acronyms, I'm still stuck on the experts who are hired by the union, by the retirees, by the government, by ABF, hell by everyone who can afford to hire pension expert, who keep saying I'm being paid less than non-union employees because of the pension. That is what was told at the last contract and this contract. Is it going to be this way until the end of time? Are the current employees going to make substandard (less than the other employees in this field) wages always; as the TNFNK says? Are we destined to envy non-union employees who are making double digit inceases in wages while we are stuck at extremely low single digit (1.2%) wage increases? Is this what it means to work at a union carrier?
