I have always supported the majority and against Hoffa and his tactics. If it wasn't for Hoffa I might even voted teamsters. But I'm not going to vote yes when he stated he would put Overnite out of business if they didn't go union. All he wanted was more power and dues he didn't care about the people he would put out of work. I only respond the way a person responds to me.
So it sounds like you have a lot of growing up to do also.
not for nothing,who? ever said anything,when did HOFFA EVER SAY?,that HE was gonna put OVERNITE out of business? HE said ,and I remember the slogan 'SHUT OVERNITE DOWN',it did'nt say'PUT OVERNITE OUT OF BUSINESS'and the reason to shut overnite down was becuase of OVERNITES GOONISHNESS,THUGGARY,STRONGARM,GESTAPO TACTICS that it pulled,ILLEGALLY DISCHARGING EMPLOYEES,ILLEGALLYwithholding pay raises from EMPLOYEES that VOTED for UNION REPRESENTATION,ILLEGALLY closing terminals down that did VOTE FOR UNION REPRESENTATION, and ILLEGALLY HARRASSING EMPLOYEES,ILLEGAL REFUSAL TO BARGAIN,ILLEGAL REFUSAL TO BARGAIN IN GOOD FAITH,and a host of many,many other things,but,like some,if it did'nt happen to you,it did'nt happen in SKEETERS WORLD',maybe CB was right about you:GrowUp: ,sorry,not trying to be a:butthead: to ya,man,but 'o'smanagement pulled an awful lot of SH.t on us,the employees,and very ILLEGAL. if there is any of us who put in any amount of time at o,we've either all seen this go/going on for years,or personally been the recipient on the recieving end,none of us can deny ,hode,or turn a blind eye from it.that was the purpose of the unfair labor practice strike,did it mean that the strike should have only been in a select are/cities,no,when there is injustice done,teamsters stick toghether nationwide,otherwise,what kind of a union would it have been to do it the otherway,something drastically needed to be done,they illegally discharged 200/250 employees in memphis alone,not to mention nationwide,what,was everyone supposed to just laydown and take it,just becuase you and some others may have been wiiling to do so? that would'nt be a UNION,but a country club membership.isHOFFA human,YES,does HE make mistakes,YES,like any human does.ever heard the saying'to err is human,to forgive is divine'do I think he made a mistake in appointing MURPHY as the head of the organizing department,YES,by the way,I met him here in my town,nice guy,but I DID'NT think he was the right guy for the job,he's a former BEER TRUCK DRIVER,not a freight guy,which is what you need to take on a freight company,someone with knowlegde,understanding of the business/industry.do I & MY COWORKERS THINK HOFFA is the right man for the job,Most of us here DO!as far as you voting union,I highly doubt it,but,I,and many others ,probably,would like to be kind enough to give YOU the benifit of the doubt,and when we do go,I would like to welcome you as a BROTHER,but ,from your post's,like I said,I'M BIG ENOUGH,as probably many others are,to GIVE YOU the benifit of the doubt,what a concept UNITY,STRENGTH,PRIDE,RESPECT

to discredit the union,and it's supporters,happened at OVERNITE, a tTERMINAL MANAGER-DALE WATSON,testified in court,and also signed affidavids,that that did ,in fact,happen
