"Federal trucking regulators have invited all motor carriers whose PeopleNet electronic logging devices require software updates to comply with the ELD rule to apply for a one-year exemption.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s announcement, published in the Federal Register on Jan. 31, was compelled by a request by Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. to be granted a one-year exemption to allow its PeopleNet automatic on-board recording device software to integrate ELD data with the company’s fleet management and safety systems to fully meet the mandate. FMCSA elected to extend the option to all carriers."

US Adds 200,000 Jobs; Wages Rise by Most Since Recession

http://www.ttnews.com/articles/us-a...OT1g1ZU51N3EwV2xudGd3U294c3RLd3k2RUZLVGQifQ==

"The jobless rate held at 4.1%, matching the lowest since 2000, while average hourly earnings rose a more-than-expected 2.9% from a year earlier, the most since June 2009."

"The report puts the nation closer to maximum employment — one of the goals of the Federal Reserve — and sets a solid tone for hiring this year following continued gains in payrolls in 2017. That could be starting to generate a long-awaited, sustained pickup in wages and boost demand in this expansion, which may also get a lift this year from tax-cut legislation signed by President Donald Trump in December."
