FedEx Freight | Our Deeply FLawed Pay Scales (GPD)

Must be nice. Our experience has been nowhere near that. After going from 96 drivers to 21 in 12 months during the salvation of the west, our board has grown to 35. The next to the bottom day shift driver has 27 years seniority.
Lots to look forward to here at our 175 door hub!
Hell, we’ve got a guy who hasn’t officially came to the road yet (starts on July 16th) and he’s already locked up a 486 mile PM bid with no dock work and delay time after his 30 min nanny break...and he’ll get at least 3-4 hours a night delay time!!

Ok, so the road driver on average makes 21% more than the city driver. The road driver on average works 18% more hours per day than the city driver. But apparently you feel the city driver should make the same amount of money even though the city driver works substantially fewer hours? Boy, talk about a sense of entitlement.
Your head is going to absolutely explode if even a portion of UPS’s wage gains trickle down to us.

You mean our own Sleeper teams? I think maybe someone said something that we had some of those once maybe?
What’s sleeper teams got to do with it??
Read the article...

“Those high rates will not just be for UPS sleeper drivers. All drivers at UPS who are classified as mileage drivers will receive that rate...”

You stopped reading too soon. That mileage figure will cover all mileage compensated drivers. The article also addresses hourly rates for local drivers..
Talked to a UPS driver out of Cleveland and he said they only have one driver domiciled there that is mileage, everyone else is hourly...and out here on the East coast you can tell the difference, the mileage drivers will suck the decals of your doors when they come by while the hourly drivers never break 55mph regardless of the posted speed limit!!

UPS or UPS FREIGHT that you talked to?

I was being facetious.

It used to be that only runs over 400 miles were mileage compensation for Parcel Feeder drivers...
