Any news on raises for this year. It has been 18 months since our last. App 12 cents behind others in LTL not including UPS where we are 18.25 behind them.

No news out of leadership at Nor. They say don't even ask, we've heard nothing.

Anything less than $0.05 is an insult.

    Questions iceman...
How do you have info on the amount of increases when my svc director said that they (leadership) had not been told?
Why do teams "deserve" .62 cpm but the rest of us do not "deserve" to be making that much?
And seeing that you must have the ear of corporate leaders, please tell me how it is that AE has some of the highest ltl rates in the industry but pays the drivers the least in the ltl industry?
I'm grateful for any thing we get but after almost 30 years here I don't know how much longer I can stand to be not appreciated.
And btw...$0.02 will put us at .55 cpm...the same as the starting pay at OD. Sad really sad.

I was told we would find out about the raise and the amount the last week of June, at this point leadership did not know how much it would be or when it would go into effect.

Top rated LTL company but at the bottom of drivers pay. Who is Wayne Spain.

Averitt by Averitt Express; Old Dominion by John Sommers II for Transport Topics Averitt Express and Old Dominion Freight Line Inc. are the country's highest-rated privately held and publicly traded less-than-truckload carriers, respectively, according to a survey of more than 2,000 shippers in the United States that Mastio & Co. conducted last year. The Mastio Quality Awards were handed out in December, but the release of the survey data provides a detailed look at the scores for 26 regional and national LTLs based on polling conducted last summer and autumn. Shippers ranked their carriers on a scale from 0 to 10. Mastio counts a 9 or a 10 as a promoter, a 7 or 8 as passive, and a 6 or below as a detractor. The net promoter score is the difference between the promoters and detractors. “In the travel industry, a Hilton or a United will ask you, ‘How likely would you be to recommend our company to a friend or colleague?’ That’s exactly what this is. It’s a dashboard metric that shippers can use,” said Kevin Huntsman, vice president of sales for Mastio & Co. Averitt President Wayne Spain told Transport Topics that the first-place result demonstrates the hard work and dedication of its employees. The LTL carrier, which ranks No. 31 on the Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers, received a score of 85.5%. “One of the key driving forces behind our ability to provide shippers with reliable, on-time service is communication. We view our shippers as partners and truly believe that maintaining an open line of communication ensures that we are working together towards the same goal,” Spain said. 1 2 3 Next >>

Our SCD met with us this morning. Personally I could care less what the competition makes so I can't answer that question, but I promise with my safe driving record and stellar attendance record that I could find another job if I wanted too, but after 28.5 years this place is like family and has treated me better than I deserve. But that's just me and my Christian worldview. Blessed enough to give away excess income, content, grateful, thankful just to name a few..... Much more to life than the things of this earth to me, I'm just passing through.

Who is Wayne Spain? Seriously? Wow. He joined Averitt in 1980, very common name in Knx.

Well... Partially correct on the first point and totally correct on second point. Been miserable for 6 years or so, but that's a long "Gone With the Wind" length novel/story.
