New Penn | Pittsburgh freight

Samson, according to the New Penn website, zip code 16511 (Erie PA) is handled with direct service through Buffalo.

You are right CFER, they do handle it out of buffalo, but they give a lot of to the cartage company to deliver. Dodsworth Is the cartage company, they cover a big area for them, all the way down to interstate 80,the same area Holland covers out of Erie. I always though it was a shame that New Penn didn’t cover their own freight for that area. At Holland we pick up freight at Dodsworth and always see at least four to five New Penn trailers there. When we were group together in YRC Regional, we ask why we did not get the cartage freight; they would never give us an answer. My guess is because New Penn should be delivering it, like it should be. It would mean more jobs for them.
