Retire from what position...it's NOT CFO of FXFE, he retired from that position a while back. Kinda hard for Mr Brown to attend negotiations for Freight when he's currently employed within another division of the corporation!!

Perhaps the info on the "freight" website is wrong. It doesn't say former CFO is retiring, it says "Our EVP and CFO", Don Brown will retire... :idunno:

Current employee search shows him as EVP-finance:idunno:

    You are absolutely correct.:1036316054:

I took notes during the oral presentation, then watched. Didn't time the clips. So, either the presenter misspoke, or I wrote down the wrong number. Either is possible.

Again, the confirmed number is 10 seconds before, and 10 seconds after the "trigger event". 20 total. Presumably still able to obtain more footage, if needed, for an individual case.

I doubt it very much, that's the parameters set that's all that will be recorded. It only saves the 20 seconds to save on memory.

Wrong.....they are constantly recording. They have about 100 hours. The triggered event sends the clip to be viewed. If need be they can go back and view whatever they want not just a triggered event.

I "heard" it'll hold up to about a week for single driver trucks and about 3 days worth for slipseats....but that's hearsay...

Mr CHO, just curious...with the bad weather hitting the left coast, do you use your hat as an umbrella to stay dry on your route or do you turn it upside down and use it as a boat to make your pickups/deliveries??

Memory being so cheap, I would think the cost/benefit would dictate a capacity more like Red & Southern are talking about.

Still, the process must be fairly swift. Capture, review, determine the need to secure additional footage, secure that footage (before it's overwritten), all within a few days.

The "extra" footage must be stored local (meaning in the unit in the truck). We were explained when I worked for Sysco that storing hours of footage from thousands of truck was cost prohibitive, I guess if it triggers and sends the 20 second event then follow up is needed they could go to the unit in the truck and retrieve it.

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing, too. But, in this day and age, remote retrieval may be possible. Again, time would be of the essence.
