I'm paying $900 a month for one of the chemo pills my wife is taking. We are currently getting her other pill she has to take for free through an assistance program and hopefully that will continue because that one would be an additional $1200 a month. Our insurance has a $1000 yearly cap on prescriptions, then when that is meet we have to pay 50%. There's a Conway driver I talk to and his wife is on the same meds and they pay $80 for a 3 month supply of what we are paying $900 a month for because they have a mail order plan with their prescriptions. Conway like R+L uses United Health. Wilmington said our contract with United Health was coming up for renewal and said that this was something they may add. They gave us the man's name that will be dealing with UH on the new policy and we are sending a letter to him and hopefully they will consider adding this.
