Pass a law that OTR, or O/O’s are compensated from arrival time, until they depart shipper/receiver, and they won’t have to push themselves for the mileage. Why should they have to take a 3 hour break caused by shipper or consignee? Trucking companies should stand behind their drivers, and not cater to people like the grocery industry, and their BS sort seg deliveries....

If trucking companies were as interested in making things safer for drivers AND the public as they are over making/stealing a dollar for the almighty bottom line, they WOULD force need rules ONTO THE DMV, and stand up and say, NO MORE CONFUSION, ELD's, WE'RE PUTTING A STOP TO ALL THE BS THAT CAUSES US TO LOSE DRIVERS.

What it looks like is a way to end detention and take the weight off the shippers and receivers and puts it back on us. If they would not hold us up for hours, there would be less issue. It’s a way to screw the drivers and help the big companies once again. No thank you.

Like I said above. Political move, with pressure from grocery lobbyists, and retail interests. But just think. Now you could work a 17 hour shift, with no more compensation....
