Check this out from Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and her dedicated staffers in Washington DC and Ohio! Thanks to staffers Jenny Perrino and Josh Stewart for making this important video! Please share this info below with everyone!

Our office created a 5-minute movie to share online based on interviews with Teamsters from Ohio/Michigan whose pensions are at risk and we are hoping to get some social media support in solidarity of the Butch Lewis Act (a bill that would protect the pensions of millions).

This is part of an effort to get traction for inclusion of this bill in a possible spending bill or whatever can help these workers ASAP. I know everyone has a lot of priorities this year, but this bill is bipartisan and is also part of Democrats’ Better Deal agenda. It has the backing of 132 Members (led by Ranking Member Neal) and 13 Senators (led by Senator Sherrod Brown).

132 back it out of 435 Representatives. Needs 218 to pass.

13 back it out of 100 Senators. Needs 60 to pass.

It hasn't made it out of Committee yet.

Plus, right now, Democrats want to shut the Government down, voting for 790,000 illegals, over 320,000,000 American Citizens.

Spending starts in the House. Then, IF a Bill gets voted out of Committee, it gets voted on as to be introduced. Then, voted to allow debate. Then voted to allow closing debate. Then voted on if to add to a spending bill as an amendment. Then the entire spending is voted on, since this is a Bailout from the Treasury and the taxpayers. Even if it passes, it goes to the Senate Majority Leader's desk where he decides if it merits action. For instance, in 2015, the House passed 400 Bill's that Dem Majority Leader Harry Reid refused to allow to be voted on....

Getting bailouts passed ain't easy. And it is a Bailout. The money comes from the taxpayer to the Treasury who authorizes printing and selling bonds.

Don't Shoot the messenger. I hate to see people told to bank on something that's hopeless. We're betting on the wrong horse. Time to look closer at the UPS offer????
