Well it actually happened today, I actually felt proud to be a Teamster for a few minutes! I received my ballot in the mail and I found a pen and filled in just one oval for a whole slate and as I did it I felt my chest tighten up and stick out a little bit. Then I licked the envelope and headed down the driveway and it tightened up and stuck out a little bit more. When I got to the mailbox and put the envelope in and put the flag up for the mailman to pick it up, well my chest actually stuck out and as I walked back to the house I felt Proud to be a Teamster for the first time in a very long time! I know it will not last much longer, maybe Nov 14th or so, but it really felt good! Be sure and try it...you might even be able to feel Proud for a little while! Have a Great Weekend Brothers!

When they say " Under the radar " around here, it's really true, because the radar only sweeps the hilltops, and most of us live on the slopes or in the holler....excuse me : hollow.
The mailmen around here wear out two or three mules a year.......and mules with two short legs on the left side so they can walk upright on the slopes..are hard to breed...

Oh, and by the way......Bro. ABFer lives on the rich side of Pennsylvania..........so his mailman is probably delayed because he has to wade through the litter of dollar bills out there........I here tell that drifts of dollar bills four foot high impede traffic so badly that the chauffeurs have to shovel a path for their clients to the bank door so no one trips over a big pile of one's.........

March 3, 1985, It may be better at ABF than at Holland. We have the company taking liberties with the drivers every day, and it is multiplying every day and they are finding ways to work around the rules and cheat the drivers and the weak ass union does nothing. These guys in management know exactly what they can get away with and not lose when a driver files and they are using every trick in the book to screw the driver. It is very hard to be proud working under these conditions. On those days you will have to be proud for the both of us! Take care brother!

I am no fan of the Republican establishment, they are a clown car of A-holes, but with smart money lobbying, you spend money on both sides, so that you don't have arch enemies when your party is out of power.
The Teamster's union whored out to illegal immigrants..yeah I get the socialist DNA of unionism, but flooding the country with cheap labor doesn't bode well for the blue collar guy....And in the eighties my business agent was preaching Hillary care...at the time we had much better healthcare than non union employees...when I asked him why he was for governmnet healthcare he told me "It will make contract negotiations easier if they don't have that bargaining chip"..My response: "well then if these are off the table, it negates the need for union representation in contract negotiations then" yeah, he looked pissed hearing the truth...And recently on healthcare, the Teamsters act surprised when Obama tells them "sorry chumps, it is what it is, no special exemption for you"...it won't hurt the leadership though.
And the current class of clowns couldn't form a proper comittee to pour **** out of a boot as evidenced by the castrataed nature of their ability to organize non-union carriers....Sucking Obama's testicles for eight years hasn't helped us.
After this story came out...which I suspected all along, my "pride" loast it's luster..
My greasy shop steward got caught in a federal investigation, when he was busted, his rat buddies jumped ship...his response:

The big business donors to both parties want cheap, off-the-books labor.....the cheapest way to lower wages is to double the Labor pool.. Economics 101,........so they've told the recipients of their largesse that they can talk about illegal immigrants......Holler, scream, bloviate, pontificate, threaten to build walls.......but..... Don't DO ANYTHING......which is why we've had illegal immigration for more than 30 years.......
Walls won't get built , .......amnesty won't be given.......big business likes the status quo.........timid, docile, captive workers who are off-the-books,......or don't really exist , come tax time........
And,....I won't go political here, but there is one candidate for President who said she would appoint a Supreme Court Justice who would vote to reverse Citizens United.....
As much as you could hold a candidate to a political promise,..........if that one would be lived up to,........
