Can't get used to seeing you guys in orange..
My first truck was #992. Wow that was a long time ago....
My first assigned Road unit was R2214, long nose International. But in the city I drove L194, L1247 and R683 (reclass) since I went through the dock to driver program I got started a little later than you old-timers! ;)
Do the new units have steps up to a cat walk ?
Why yes, yes they do.
Good memories..... My first city truck was re-classed R187.
By re-classed I mean they cut the belt off for the A.C. compressor..... lol
That happened with us too, they removed the belts from the re-classed smurfs because the L units didnt have A/C...but eventually they put them back on.
Or maybe a driver or two did.. :)
Lol...we've got a driver or two that won't open the hood!!
Me either, don't seem right.
My first road unit was R931. I like the old AF Dispatch. I was going threw some old video's and found a old AF tape that they sent out once in a while back in the day. Brought back a lot of good memories.
This just in. There seems to be some Volvos mixed in. Did not get a chance to pop the hood and see what's in there...
Yes, it is on the deadline...
We got R19921 that is like this as well.
Talked to a SAV (Savannah, Ga) driver the other morning who was driving one and he said they've made the suggested adjustments with the volume of the "bells and whistles"...finally...and those who've driven them so far like them.
These new Pete's ride like dog .
