R&L | Raise

I just did read your comments, sorry about that am not avoiding you . When I was still working we at one time had our own state of the art clinic our own pharmacy and if we had to go the hospital we went to St. Joseph's that too was of no charge . The only thing I had to go into my pocket for was to get my car keys . I don't know whats up with the new drivers of today I think they are probably not as fortunate as the generation before them but still think they have a pretty good deal going .

So basically you are slamming our insurance off of 5 year old rates and comparing them with our current ones? So you had a free clinic that you could go to if you were sick, how much did a specialist cost? But wait 5 year old rates again. If you are going to slam our insurance lets get some current info because we paid a lot less 5 years ago as well. And you still have not answered how much your copays and deductibles were if you were not able to go to your "free " clinic, say you were out of town.... But wait 5 year old rates again.....I came up with the 5 years myself, I do not know how long you have been retired, all I am saying is if you want to slam us, then slam us with current information.

From you tone I would say that for some reason you have taken offense to my commitments.by using words like slamming. I am not slamming your insurance it is what it is not meant to be degrading . I am answering you about the co pays We at that time had no copay's . If we were out of town then all the billing went to our insurance . I'm sure its not that way today . We had a great plan too bad things can't stay the same.

My "tone" as you say is because you are comparing your old insurance with our current. If it is better then it is better, but lets compare apples with apples, not bananas........

From what I gather is that the guys still on the job pay 60. or less per month for the complete family no matter how many children they have and they have a $20. copay and a $40. for a specialist for office visits .They have to pay for the first 300 something before the insurance (Blue Cross) covers the rest in full per year . On something major with a operation in the hospital they pay 20% of $5000 then Blue Cross covers all after that has been met . They have prescription medicine for a minimal charge 4 or 5 dollars . This how it is in my area I can't say what its like in other parts of the country could be not as good or it could be better . I hope this brings so clarity to what you asked . Most of the guys that stay in touch with the retirees don't talk much about their medical .

Just got paid. I pay $52 a week for Health and Dental. It is like $12 more than it was 5 years ago and the coverage is not as good. The current coverage is ok. Could be better, could be worse. I know some of my friends are paying allot more than me for the same coverage so I cant complain. I can complain that R+L does not like to give their Salary employee's raises. They just say they are not giving raises out. Thats BS when their revenues are the highest they have ever been. They need to start sharing or they will be losing good people to their competitors.

Yeah I hear ya your right but that's the way they want it its all for them and as little as passable for the employees . Unfortunately there are many who would say that sharing the boss's profits constitutes socialism.

No its called treating people failrly. They are making a ton of money and I want them to be profitable. To keep their talented people they need to provide a yearly raise if the person is doing what they are supposed to be doing. I see people going through the motions and not putting forth the extra effort because there is no reward. I know that having a job is number one but as the ecomomy recovers they need to start sharing all the millions they are making every month.
