Hi my girlfriend and I just got our CDL and have our sights set on OD. We live in the Stockton/Sacramento area. We have a few questions

1. Will OD train my girlfriend with a female trainer if requested?
2. Would we be able to get a dedicated route at some point?
3. Do we have the option of doing regional or is it exclusively otr lower 48?
4. Are doubles alot more dangerous/harder to drive than a single 53'?
5. How long is the training?
6. Are the trucks mainly manual or automatic?

Sorry for so many questions, OD customer support keeps telling me to apply then go to their website for any questions...

1. If a female trainer is available (and she might have to travel to one).

2. As a team- not in my area, but may be different out west. Ours goes coast to coast, and home most weekends.

3. Midwest may be different but our team goes wherever needed in the lower 48.

4. No. Respect your equipment and it will respect you.

5. Depends. We had (no exp. CDL holder though) in as little as a week, one was 2 months.

6. New ones (sleeper trucks) are mostly autos that I’ve seen.

I hope that helped a little. I’m sure someone with more knowledge on team ops will chime in to help.
