Serious question: Isn't a Moderate better than a Liberal? How can you complain about things if you don't vote, even if it's the lesser of two evils? I'm sure you vote in the primaries. So when your guy doesn't win instead of embracing your Democracy, you stay home and pout? What would our Founding Fathers think of that?

    Stoney,
A guy like Dave wouldn't get far in our election process. Because nowadays, being so close to the 50% mark of freeloaders and fraudsters, it would only take a few others to sink his campaign. They'd never vote to bite the hand that feeds them......and Dave would force them into being more responsible. Can't have that ya know.

That's assuming the "free loaders" vote. Voter turnout is typically dismal.

Nope. I disagree. They can't seem to get off the couch to go get an ID card, but when the Democrat bus stops out front on Election day, they're all dressed up and ready to roll.

I DO vote! The Lessor of two Evils is still Evil! I vote my conscience. If that's a candidate I can endorse I vote for him. Like I've voted for Alan Keyes (Repub) and Chuck Baldwin and Virgil Goode (Constitution). If there are none running I see better than my dog, I vote for my Dog. That's my Vote. Not staying Home, not pouting. My one vote is mine to cast and I DO. Indiana used to be solidly Repub. Now the Repubs run Liberal Moderates and the Dems win as the Repub Base sits home, but we the Base is seen as the problem? I don't agree...

I voted for Herman Cain in last Primary...

Didn't Indiana recently pass right to work laws? Seems Republican to me.

Well you live in Indiana but talk like Conservatism is dead. I was pointing out how your side is alive and well. You brought up Indiana in your quote above.

We were talking about election turnouts.

D o. I. Need. To. Type. Slower. So. You. Can. Keep. Up????? :LMAO:

Just kidding. That was my point. We ARE conservative. But stayed home and didn't vote for Moderate/Liberal Candidates when the Repubs ran them. No wonder the GOP didn't get the message- if a wise man like you couldnt... :regretful:

Well sir, it is obvious to me there is no message to be received. It is obvious that the GOP is winning regardless if you personally sit home or not. Its certainly isn't the Democrats in Indiana passing Union killing legislation like right to work laws. So therefore that is the reason myself and your beloved GOP didn't receive the message.

I'm beginning to believe you can't separate State, Local, National, GOP, Conservative, Libertarian, Tea Party, RightWing??? Just like Mags- calls em all Republicans. It's not so, but on here, the Dems are never convinced..... :regretful:

Indiana Repubs voted massively for Repub Majorities in State and Local elections. So you see the great results statewide. Budget Surplus, lower property taxes, better roads, better schools, better economy, etc, etc. New job startups and companies moving here. GE jet engines is building a plant here. Honda did. Toyota is expanding. All Good Jobs...

But a large number voted Third Party instead of Romney or McCain. In 08 Obama beat McCain to be the first Dem elected by Indiana since 64. In 12 same thing state, local. Same huge Third Party vote and O beat Romney by 1%. A better, more conservative candidate would have easily won Indiana. That's the Easy To See Message, that seems lost to you and the GOP....

You made the statement earlier "Indiana used to be solidly Republican." That is how we got on Indiana. I think what you were intending on saying was Indiana was solidly Republican during Presidential elections. You have to be more clear so your post aren't misrepresented Jimmy. ;)

    Who was the moderate?

    Democratic progressive Barry
    or
    Republican progressive Romney/McCain

No moderates there, progressives are progressive no matter which little letter follows their name

    Listen to Jeb talk
He does not want it in his heart
To me he appears to be going though the motions and with the exception of Barry it is really hard to fake being the President (if it were not for a compliant MSM even Barry would not be able to get away with it)

The Republicans think that nominating people that are in the middle is the way to go, to "reach across the isle". They couldn't be more wrong. Every time, past and present, that they put a centrist up as a nominee, they will lose. Too many of us Conservatives refuse to vote for Liberal light. Without us in the mix, they don't have a chance.

I'll vote for JEB! When he was governor of FLA he did one heck of a job. He has his mother's demeanor, which means.....DON'T MESS WITH ME! Being able to speak and understand Spanish, along with a Hispanic wife is going to be a plus.
Working in the financial sector gives him a understanding on how the system works and how to get thing done. Of course he will be raped by the LIBERAL pundit's for this. He will be attacked by the Lib's for his daughters drug issues and his wife issues not declaring some jewelry she purchased abroad. Sure,,, he is a centrist Republican, that's what the country is looking for....You all can push for Cruz, Paul or the FAT MAN from Jersey...it will result in the same ....Hillary in 2016!

A Progressive Liberal wants to just give away the farm to people that they feel deserve it because of their "hardship". Never paying taxes on anything and producing nothing.

A Democrat wants to give the house and farm's tool shed to the lazy guy, and figure out a way for themselves to get their hands on the land, but tax the heck out of it until it becomes theirs. All while the farm produces nothing.

A Moderate Republican wants to allow a lazy guy to live on the farm, free from paying taxes, while the grass in the fields grow tall. Never requiring the farm to be productive, while sitting silent, in fear that they might be called names for not being politically correct.

A Conservative wants the farm to prosper with lots of healthy grass for feed which makes the cattle healthy, as the equipment maintenance and farm supplies stimulate the economy, all while employing several people and everyone making a good living.

There is no such thing as "reaching across the isle" in my world.

All I listen to all day long now is the Patriot channel. I think Mike Church is the only one that Im not sure I completely agree with but that's only because hes a bit confusing on what his views are.

Every skeleton in his family's closet will be exposed for sure. Because of the fact that he has a (R) behind his name, the MSM will air his dirty laundry daily, and he will be scrutinized to the point where we'll know about every time that he lets a fart.
All while they ignored the facts and details about a radical Socialist/Marxist and his hatred for America. And look at the end results of that.
