People First.

When are our S.C.M.'s going to start looking out for their Road Drivers to make sure they run before any purchase transportation in their area? Fed-Ex screens their employees with a fine tooth comb before hiring. But then they let purchase transportation run our freight with drivers that do not have the haz-mat endorsement. Would'nt that mean that they're convicted felons? It's ok to have convicted felons move some of our high dollar freight. Fed Ex says that they save money running purchase transportation.

I thought the company made a committment with us drivers when they hired us as fulltime employees to make sure that we worked fulltime!

Why not make sure that their own employees worked first before any purchase transportation!

Would'nt it be logical & ethical if management used their own people first & only purchase transportatin if they in between adding another bid @ that service center.

I understand that business levels & the economy are a little off right now.Upon getting hired for FXFE we both made a committment to each other & sometimes I feel that I'm the only one here in this committed realtionship!!!

FXFE, it's not too late to take your company back & re- commit to your employees,I like workinkg for you,I just wish that you the way you used to be

I 4 one am happy 2 see pickle gone. He's a classic trouble maker with way 2 much time on his hands always trying to get folks upset. This company isn't perfect and I'm guessing a vast majority of drivers lack a 4 year degree, but I'd certainly like 2 know where you all think you'll find a better company 2 work for.
 
Look who's starting truoble now. I would watch what you say about people around here.:chairshot: Did you know that people at my hub have to work 2 jobs just to make it over here. S

He's not on a permanent ban, there are levels and depending on what you do wrong and how often determines how long the ban is up to permanent.

He will be allowed back on the 30th.

I was content on just sitting back and reading these threads for a month or so just gritting my teeth when I've read critical post regarding FedEx Freight.

I've only worked for them for nearly 3 years and as I mentioned in my previous post that they are not a perfect company but I am thankful for the job.

I believe in order to be somewhat content to work here you should have some type of military background although I am sure there can be exceptions.

I have been through only 3 center managers (I transfered from a southern terminal). Out of the 3 , one of them was a major douchebag but I simply just avoided contact with him and he eventually transfered.


This company isnt for everyone (obviously form the certain postings I've read here) but I can only hope to have this as my last job in life.

Fly under the radar...............you'll be much more content. :smilie_132:

Yes, we lost 14 on the road, fortunately 8 were within 60 miles and those who live there wanted to transfer, more miles for some (runs) and no more long commute to STL. They even got 3k to stay home.

1 transferred to KCY voluntarily, was told he's from there and his Mom still lives there, 3 others forced to transfer, 1 quit and 1 retired.
