Roadway driver injured in rollover

cincy driver injured in rollover 2 miles from terminal. truck left the hiway for unknown reasons went up an embankment and rolled over onto roof and driver side. Driver was pinned in truck for 2.5 hours had to be cut from cab. emergency crews were about to amputate his leg. when they finally caught a break and got him out intact. he has no broken bones multiple cuts an bruises but lost a lot of blood. he was air cared to dayton ohio miami valley hospital

thats cause they are owned by freightliner. when ford had them they were great trucks.

What did F-liner do to make Ford a bad truck.? It was always the low end truck. F didn't change a thing....always junk.

Glad to hear your driver is A-OK,just because we work for different companies and jab at each other sometime's dosen't mean we don't care.Were all out there doing the same dangerous job every week!Again glad to hear the driver will be A-OK:thumbsup:

10-4 on the Sterling/Ford being low end. About 10 yrs ago we still had one that required the driver to pump the blub on the floor to get washerfluid to the windsheild. Now if I recall correctly that was invented in the 1920's.

Do we have any kind of update on the driver and how he is doing??? Or what caused it?



We also have changed this from one of brothers getting injured to the junk we drive..

driver update

driver had two surgeries to repair damage to leg and arm,also underwent a skin graft to close the holes. when the cab crushed ,the steering column pinned his legs against the seat base. ramming the seat base adjuster arm thru his leg.thats what kept him from being freed from the truck. he was in the cab pinned down for 2.5 hrs, he lost 5 units of blood. they were about to cut his leg off. when they tried once more to get him out and it worked. his only problem now is hes diabetic and he maybe having trouble with circulation..what really pissed me off about the whole ordeal was our relay mgr was called at home and he delagated the respocibillity to our human resource mgr to go to scene and represent roadway to local police. one of his own drivers was in the ditch almost dead, and his lazy *** wouldnt get outta bed. so he sent someone from another dept instead. says alot about management doesnt it?:tongue0002:

Yep: know just how you feel about him!!! Sad to think a human can be like this and we must work under him knowing that this is the way they think about us.

if you think the stearlings are junk, you ought to try Yellows Internationals, no room for your gear and fine if you are 5'6"
