Look for an employer paying higher wages & OT after 8 or 40 hours. Then apply. Don't forget to thank yourself, I know your bank account will. von.

Makes me wonder what their cooking up?
    And who's the big customer?

He said: “The logistics space is wide open for the development of some very interesting technologies. We are in the midst of designing a next-generation logistics facility in collaboration with a large customer.

“It’s a testing ground for bringing together all the things we do in an integrated way, and we will use that as a launch pad for innovation and push that out to our 750-plus facilities around the world.”

But i kinda remember reading something about robotics being used in warehouses, and docks also self driving equipment.
But again everything is just speculation.

Is it true that the terminal manager in Cincinnati walked off the job?

It has been a bit odd. All this lip service. But then there is all this reality to deal with.

Far as I can tell XCN has lost a TM , and two FOMs over the past couple of weeks.

A lot of FOM and FOS have left. It was the rash of TM that quit there all the sudden. Right as the second quarter news came out. Which was supposed to have been so uplifting and positive. That really perked people up.

Yes, we were told today all of the zones in KY will be closed. Only one worker transferring to us. One to another terminal. Others got severance packages which ain't good.

Forgive me for my the ignorant nature of my question, but what is it you're referring to when you use the word "zone?"

Places that are serviced by a driver that doesn't go back to a terminal. The driver lives in an area , like Mayberry , North Carolina. So another driver from a nearby terminal delivers a trailer ( or set ) of freight to a drop location with the freight loaded for delivery. They take back the empties and then it's wash and repeat.

There's a lot of little details left out , but this is a rough outline.

P.S. - Usually the area that is a zone is remote. Too far from the parent terminal to make it a regular stop , and too small to justify another terminal.
