What is this I hear XSX and XHR are going to be one???
So why did the drivers walk?
Drivers did not walk. Just a rumor started by someone wanting to stir the pot. I challenge anyone to prove a walk out by employees. And that proof would have to be found in the local paper, tv, or press release by the company. Anything less is a load of cra*. We must not forget the title of this topic. Rumor. Kind of says it all. I also hear from a reliable source there will be a wild cat strike by YRC employees starting Labor Day. Anybody else hear this? von.
Not sure about a walk out but do really think this company would give us a press release and the tv would cover it cmon were not gm or ford
The company would try to keep it quiet, try not to give anyone else any ideas!
Funny, I heard the same think talking to a former coworker this morning. First I'd heard about it. If that happened, it would be a lot of territory to cover. Meriden Ct is an hour south of Springfield. Rumors.... As far as our tm, he is retiring and employed until then (I think sept/oct).
Wow. It's amazing how different it is from one barn to the next.
Can't be much for options. It's not a dense area of the country.
Listen. I don't wanna be mean. But there isn't any other way to really say this. So, I am just gonna say it, and you can feel free to hate me for it.
You Californians can keep your communist **** socialist in California. Or even better. Go to some other country that shares your whack job beliefs and live there. Just saying. Do you know this country ? That the rest of the country isn't California ?
Well, we got people saying that there are drivers and dockhands being sent in. That would be a fairly strong indicator that an absence exists.
Back in 1999 I was at Conway Central and I was on my last week and with 2 days left I came in and was told they didn't need me anymore and I was starting at Conway Southern the next week. But luckily they let me take a truck to anothet terminal and ley me work my last 2 days there. This was in Chicago and there's a couple of breakbulks in the area. That was puzzling that I couldn't work at my home terminal but they ley me come in and take a truck to another terminal my last 2 days and work there.
