It seems like this company likes to promote guys who just hook and book, if you do a pretrip and find something wrong with equipment and refuse to pull the trailer and make them get it fixed ie call a vendor or swing the load they try to make you feel like it is your fault.

You must be talking about the SOB that brings a trailer with no brakes to meet and turn. So you can pull it back to your home terminal during rush hour.

How about tires so bald that 5 men pulled the trailer with less than 2/32" tread and no one put it out of service. DOT says bald tires are the same points against your license as bad brakes 10 points. The company can't fix it if you don't tell them. Though the company defers plenty of maintenance. To long between oil changes, past due p/m's, long term lease equipment with expired annual inspections. How to get most of the men to refuse equipment that should be out of service is the question of day.
