We all had the info boards in our terminals updated this week with the poster on school bus stop safety. Here is the huge point they missed that all of us as professional drivers can do to help. When approaching a stopped school bus, apply you 4-way flashers and move 1/2 of you truck's width onto the shoulder allowing a) the bus driver to see any traffic behind you, b) allowing the impatient drivers behind you to realize you do know how to drive and that there is actually a good reason for you to stop in the middle of the road, and c) (I hope this doesn't happen to you) don't hesitate to use the air horn to warn the bus driver as said idiot bursts around you and nearly hits the kids at the front bumper of the bus.

Be safe Fellas!
