Keep in mind there was a comments section on the surveys....each of the thousands of respondents comments must be addressed and documented...computers can't do that...they only count numbers and darkened circles.

Do the research and you will find the company Con-Way has chosen is above reproach...their reputation is impeccable.

These things take time...if you were expecting a quick result to the surveys then you are going to be disappointed.

Woah, wait a minute there Rat. The information that I found on Kenexa doesn't put them into the catagory of "beyond reproach." The Gallop group sued them for copywrite infringement. Sure Kenexa won the suit, but only because of a technicality. remember when I posted this? http://www.truckingboards.com/trucking/upload/614617-post11.html

The only thing "delaying" the results to the service centers are that each Area VP has to go over his results with corporate, then the AREA VP goes over each region's results, service center by service center, with the RM, then right on down to the SCMs for individual service center results...

It may seem tedious to some, but the strengths and weaknesses everywhere need to be discussed so they can be addressed...the survey company is done at this point..they have completed their task..
 
They need time to circle the wagons and put their spin on it. It needs re-compiled and of course some questions will be deemed non-relevant. The raw data the survey generated could not possibly be understood by the masses.

I would love to have you there the day they go over mine with me...then you will see that there is no spin on anything, just the opinions of the people in the service center...you cannot turn your back on problems, they have to be addressed..I don't know how it is done back there, but it gets alot of attention out here...

I think you need a change of scenery....bring some sun screen...

I know I give some of you guys a lot of static and grief. For the life of me I hope and pray you guys are right about this stuff. BUT I have to SEE things pull out of this mess before I believe it . I am sorry but I have lost trust and faith all together with the XGO and BOD Bunch. I used to trust them a GREAT deal.
I only believe and have faith in a few things , GOD , FAMILY, ( Used to have faith in my country but after Obama was elected NO MORE) and myself. XGO and the BOD just don't rate it any more until they show otherwise. Until that happens I will Exercise my 1st Amendment and speak my mind and opinion . It will at least help keep my blood pressure down. It also helps me to remember we are still free. ( At least for now):TR10driving03::shift:

You apologize for offering your opinion??? You should never....Everybody needs to say what's on their mind..just be fair about it...don't make it personal...

Thank you for the invite. Am sure I would find the process educational.

I cannot comprehend why it takes so long to filter the survey data down through the management ranks. I think it would be as beneficial if the SCMs and the RMs where given the overall results at the same time as we worker units are. If there where anomalies or issues at isolated locations or regions, they would probably be kept quiet anyways.

Well, the RMs and SCMs discuss them together, with the RM offering his thoughts about what the employees are trying to say and what needs immediate attention, and then they immediately go out to everyone in the service center..almost simultaneously...regardless, I have been through a few of these over the years, and I am still waiting for someone to spin me or tell me how to spin the results..they are what they are, and I got a feeling this one will be extra special...

I too have been through a few and even in the day that I respected and trusted this company, they omitted some questions.

I really am looking forward to this one but considering what Conway has become, should I foolishly expect a sudden change of heart and see honest survey results?

This one will be extra special as there has not been any demonstration that there is interest in what the drivers are feeling in roughly a decade. It should make for a good read. - But the longer they hold back its release is that much longer they appear to have something to hide and that they need this time to manipulate the results.

Well I copy every one of the ones I take, and I compare them to the results...they haven't omitted any questions on one yet..
SCMs see this as a personal audit of themselves and their service centers...at least out here we do...nobody wants a bad survey put on them...but if it happens, it forces people to look in the mirror and make some very necessary changes..
I have had some really good ones, and still, when meeting with my boss to discuss them, all the discussion is about looking at the 4-5 lowest scoring areas and how to improve on them...even if 80% of the folks agree that you are doing a good job in a particular area, it means 20% think you're not, and it needs work..

They COULD prove me wrong and I would welcome it. BUT I really believe that XGO will use the info for their own benefit and not the drivers. They will take the info on age , years at Con-Way and that stuff , and then use it to try to identify the drivers that are upset , suspicious and don't trust them. Then they will come down on us for being honest. I have seen it happen before. I think they WILL see the Moral Problem , but if it addressed they will blame the outspoken drivers for it. A month or so ago I talked to a Member of the XGO bunch on Line Haul . I spoke my opinion on most of this stuff and all he could say was" As a Senior Driver I suggest you don't say any of this around the Junior Drivers and ruin their attitude. I then said " So you have wiped out our 1st Amendment Rights?" He then said that was not what he was saying. I told him that he needed to read the 1st Amendment because that was exactly what he was doing. His face just turned red and was silent.:nutkick::eck13::shift:
