Will new LH driver have set days/shifts to work or wait by the phone and go in when needed?

    Pay benefits?

    Thanks

I'm just about to hit my 90 days on linehaul. I'm on the open board so I go where ever is needed. Mainly the shorter runs to start the night because I'm low man but by tbe end of tbe night in around 500 miles average.by the end of the week I have just as many miles or more than the top seniority guys. Benefits kick in on the first of tbe month after your 60 days. My official start is 9:30 but if your load is ready before that ( it usually is) you can leave early. I go in At 8:30 every night and usually pull out of the yard by 9. It's a set schedule. Go in Monday night. And finish the week Saturday morning. No calling in.

Here is our pay scale. You start out at 53.5 cents per mile and top out at 61.6. Get a raise every year so it will go up next year. You also get paid 15 min to fuel your tractor and every drop and hook you get 15 minutes pay.(15 minutes pay for both. Dropping and hooking) So you drop and hook 4 times a night that's an hour of pay. Only down side is you do not get paid for your first hook of the night or your last drop when you go home.

Good deal. Sounds very promising. As long as the TM liked you and it went well you will be in good shape. I hope you get in, it's a good place to be

Safety takes forever. Took 2 weeks for me. As long as your in contact with the TM and he hasn't heard anything then yes that is good news
