This guy should not have been traveling as fast as he was. The report also says he had reached 94 miles an hour just prior to the crash.

Traveling westbound, Beebe had slowed to between 70 and 75 mph when he lost control of his 2011 Ford Crown Victoria. The posted speed limit in the area is 45 mph.

This is not the first time this trooper has caused an accident.

Trooper Involved Accident Kills Motorcyclist

Beebe was involved in a May 8, 2012, high-speed chase up Deer Park Road east of Port Angeles that led to the death of motorcyclist Bjorn R. Larsen, 36, of Forks, and the destruction of the patrol car Beebe was driving.

Another report says the trooper has been involved in 4 crashes during his 17 year career with the State Patrol. The family of the motorcyclist who was killed are seeking to have trooper Beebe removed from his position.
