Are these just the worst locks the company has ever issued? It doesn't even take a month and the pieces of junk are already jammed up! #SoAnnoyed

I usually have the opposite problem. After a few weeks all it takes is a gentle kick and they open up. I feel badass in front of the customers opening my door like that.

Locks are a dumb idea, just post a sign "authorized personal only" this will work fine.
If you make this suggestion, you will make a few brownie points for sure.
OD is always looking to improve.

I totally agree. Have you guys gotten the rubber boots that go over them. Worthless, the grim goes into the locks through the shank. According to TS they’re the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The rubber boots are about as worthless as a city driver running the mountains in the winter.

Hammer and a little butane touch. Doesn't always work but it's great stress relief.

These locks should come with a complimentary bolt cutter.

Leave those bad boys!!! They will give more no big deal. If they want to waste money on these cheap locks that's on them. I got in trouble years ago for not locking them. Now I lock them and if they are froze, not my problem!

FedEx Freight has locks permanently mounted on all their trailers, a one key system. Brass, special cut so you can't get a proper replacement without going through FedEx. And they get snapped every winter.

I managed to get 4 years out of mine, which was already bent when I got it. Dunno about the US road drivers, but us Canadians were all assigned keys because we have to be able to open the trailer at the request of customs.

I agree with you all on these lock's.The lock company took OD for sure.I tested the lock's back last year or so.They worked great and was my top choice. But,road crap does get in them for sure. The blowing out and graphite in them is a joke.I have just started using door lubricant&PB Blaster just like the old ones.No telling how much they spent on them for sure.

You may be liable, bad mouthing these locks.
They were purchased from Coop Dispatch, and have lifetime limited liability warranty, as long as they remain on Coop Dispatch
    premises.

Try this: Put your mouth up to the keyhole (but do NOT make contact...see ‘A Christmas Story’)...then slowly blow into the lock several times...the warm air from your lungs will thaw the lock. It’s an old Boy Scout trick that has never failed me. Or (this is very unsanitary, but it also works), place the key in your mouth for about 30 seconds to ‘heat’ it up, then insert the key into the lock. The warm key will help release the lock. You might have to do it a few times. Again, very unsanitary, but effective.

Well, yeah. Was just keeping it clean...but that’s a REAL Boy Scout ‘trick’.

I'll take your word for it! I will continue to leave them on and just get a new one. I don't get paid to spend extra time on their bad decision.
