XPO | Sub service moving LTL

Some highly skilled dock star in lda loaded 4 thousand pounds of hazmat (poison) on a trailer the other night and didn't even scan it on , it was hauled all the way to tulsa with no placards and the driver didn't even know it was on there ..he's very lucky he didn't get checked in the chicken coop or have and accident ..! Prolly one of beerfd's trainees . Lol

Couple ltu drivers were dispatched to Kansas City on Thursday , these guys were about 80 miles into there trips and were contacted on there cell phones ... the scm informed these drivers to turn around and return to tulsa, after they returned to the dock there loads were back stripped onto sub service vans . These two guys were then informed that work was a little slow so go ahead and punch out for the day ! Our runs out of ltu are shrinking every day and we are seeing more and more vans show up . If Conway continues to load all the vans... We are all going to be working city p&d !
Holy crap man..thats just crazy. Well they should get paid for that leg atleast, but I thought once you dispatched from the SC, you become linehaul's houseboy.

I wonder will the "dock star" have a punishment that fits the crime? Will someone in management bother to investigate WHO didn't scan , load , and placard a hazmat load correctly? Placing the DRIVER at risk of a huge fine , points , etc..and of course Con-way is exposed as well. WTF.

You can count one it.But,only after a new specialist position is created to do so.

What I hear is the company is doing a study on sub-service to see if it is actually worth doing. Wonder how many people they had to hire to do this?

What they need to study is how many skilled drivers are walking out the door behind the use of sub-service... And I'll bet it takes a whole fleet of brainiacs to figure that one out ...!

Really why should they care? If they make 1 cent a mile profit in the sub-service, Look at all the money they can save in layoffs.

not only hazmat but lots of freight gets loaded and not scaned on.dont seem to be an issue.we still have people who dont or wont load hazmat may be best that they dont because when they do its not done rite.some of these people shoudnt be doing this but i guess its another body. just be careful guys and gals on line haul .thank you for what you do.be professional and safe

It's starting to look that way too ... It's all about big profits for some in this company and **** on the rest , I see these jr linehaul drivers with there heads down knowing they just got the bone again every time they drive the 'yota' into a van, and I'm sure they are pissed too because they just gave a good portion of there paycheck to a nasty ass sub service driver that has no time invested into this company !

It's all about big bussiness, bankers and the government. If it's anyone else, Who cares.

What's next for this company? Using Truckstaff temp agency to do our city work? Look how much money they could save. Gooooo Conway!!! The fifth star is you!

They didn't give their paycheck to a nasty dirty ol' sub-service driver, they gave it back to Con-way so they can get their hundredth of a percent of a penny on the dollar back in VVP! I laugh every time they wave that bonus in front of my nose. If I lose out on thousands in wages the hundreds I make in that bonus doesn't amount to a hill of beans in my book.

What's the big meeting about tomorrow? 1/21... we were told to come in early for it. A video and something about the 401k is the rumor. Idk.
