The Republican-led Congress is set to vote Thursday on a two-year budget deal that would include massive increases in military and domestic spending programs, reflecting an ideological shift for a party whose leaders long preached fiscal conservatism but have now embraced big spending.

I guess it's known why the working stiff only got a 5 to 7 year deal while corporations have no expiration
If this tax law stands long term ?

Rand Paul took to the Senate floor last night to voice his concerns
he spoke until past the midnight deadline so technically the govt was shutdown (of course if you have a shutdown and no one notices is it still a shutdown)

I hope Trump vetoes this bill it is typical big govt spending frenzy
you have an economy that is doing well record low unemployment wages rising WTF do you need to increase domestic spending (aka social services)

On one hand I wish Bevin would have beaten him to get that POS out of the senate
but Bevin is doing good things for the state of KY
he is addressing the pension problem (over promised under funded) people are asking him to leave it alone. It is on the road to insolvency and the people would rather not know about it than have it addressed

Essentually, the Dems are getting everything they want except amnesty at this time

Social security, Medicare, Medicaid and Obamacare are 50% of the federal budget.
Other mandatory is 14% totaling 63%.
Go ahead and fix it, I dare you.

This "deal" is ridiculous. I wonder how many of these pukes that voted yes, were campaigning on how they would waste and spend this kind of tax payers money? My guess would be zero.
    Mitch McConnell is a joke.

Not a single mention of any spending being cut. Unbelievable.
This generation is leaving our kids and grandkids a mess that they will never be able to clean up.
As the greatest generation in history is dying off, they are being replaced by the most selfish generation in history.

With every step Trump takes forward, he takes two steps backwards for following along with the establishment.

On a more detailed news show someone put it into perspective.
When we did the TARP and the stimulas back when Bush was leaving and Obama took over the combined programs cost $1.5 Trillion.

The Budget deal now will cost a additional $1.5 trillion
Combine that with the recent tax reduction which will also cost the government $1.5 Trillion

Together these recently passed bills will cost us $3 Trillion dollars.

So whats up with that ahay? :idunno:

Wrong. Your fuzzy math is irrelevant.
And the left is suddenly concerned about spending.
