Standard forwarding doesn't pay the best. Top pay of 18 a hr if I remember right. Might be union but the pay sucks. Lakeville you start on the dock and it can take a long time to move into a truck. At least that's what I was told. Thought about getting on with a union construction company and taking my winters off to. They all pay decent but obviously there now hiring right now

18 an hr might not be bad if you dont pay anything for health insurance and they have a pension. lakeville might suck on the docks, but they have a great contract. i run into this with a couple of my us foods friends, everyone is afraid of jumping ship, being comfortable. like i said before, you should REALLY go dow. to the union hall and talk to them. they know of places that are good that we havent even heard of, and they are more than happy to see a young guy want to do it the "right" way, with a union card, and job protections and a pension.
