Don't have all the details as of yet, but in short, all of the work that Tacoma thought they would be able to wrongfully "steal" from Seattle will never happen:hyper:. I would think that Reddaway came to their senses, and realized how big of a labor violation it would be, because the Teamsters convinced the parent company to whack Reddaway with a stick.
Looks like Tacoma is now the Reginald Denny of Reddaway; didn't you Tacoma guys didn't see that Union brick coming????

Today at the Seattle terminal it was like Christmas in February. No self respecting man wants to be pushed around by any body. Well, the management of Reddaway didn't get to do the pushing they so enjoy doing to it's employees. Whether they are Union or not it doesn't matter to this company. They want to treat everyone like crap. Unfortunately, some see and choose not to be whipping boys while others take it like b****es. Just think of the strength we could have if we were all together against tyranny. I keep hoping but this company has done a good job of keeping some of it's employees in the dark and scaring them into submission. SOOOOOO Sad!

Just think of the strength we could have if we were all together against tyranny.
Along those lines, this is a great quote from a respected friend..............
The labor movement is a sleeping giant. Like a thoroughbred horse, American labor is far bigger and more powerful than its corporate masters. We accept with passive silence the constraints put upon us. We run when they say run and we accept ever diminishing rations as our reward. In the end, we are discarded.

Our power to change the system lies in our unity.

The horse could rule the master if it only realized its strength and applied it.
Because one person can affect two, and two can affect four, and pretty soon the horse is on its feet.
And when the labor movement begins to act in unison like the powerful animal that it is, there will be a new race.
And it will be a great day

As of yesterday, Friday the 12th, the movement of work to Tacoma from Seatte is still set for Feb 21st. In addition 12 Line Haul bids will also be taken away from Seattle. Three of these bids will be going to Tacoma. About a dozen Seatltle ctiy and line tractors have already been moved to Tacoma. Tacoma has also a phone call list in the event more equipment will be taken down to Tacoma. We will see next in the next few weeks what will happen.
None of this would have been going on if everyone stood together to save Reddaway. Yes that means all of us taking a 15% paycut. How can Seattle sleep at night knowing that there are other Reddaway Brothers working for less to save the company. 15% hurts in today's world where our governments in DC and Olympia are raising our taxes. So go ahead and enjoy life Seattle and those other union terminals who did not take the cut. The rest of us will suffer for you and keep Reddway alive!

The 15% you were mandated to give up isn't going to save Reddaway.
The ONLY way Reddaway will survive is to be released from the evil clutches of YRC.
Our destruction is planned and calculated. Would USF have sold off ALL assets to pay someone elses bills? NO
Lastly, there is no standing together at TAC. Don't come at the public with this Reddaway brothershit
Your actions in the past have clearly proven to those who know that TAC is not willing to stick their neck out.
Get back in your shell.

What Tacoma trucker fails to realize is that if the employees under the NW agreement would have only been asked to give up 15%, it would have passed with flying colors. What he fails to realize or admit is that Reddaway wanted roughly 27% from its NW Union employees. This whole deal centered around equal sacrifice. Sorry, TT but that is not equal sacrifice and that is why it was voted down. Tacoma trucker keeps throwing things out he either knows nothing about or has another agenda. Either way, he needs to worry about himself (oh ya that is all the nons do) or join or fight against tyranny and oppression.
