I think it is in bad taste, that some of you rub your pension riches in the face of Central States Pension Fund ABF employees. ABF pays in $8.55 an hour into CSPF. In the thank you 107 forum you boast about your $13.22 to $16.00 an hour pension contributions.

So much for the concept of equal pay, for equal work. It is no wonder "The Pension Select Committee" is going to put an end to these shenanigans. Before it bails out the PBGC.

canary, docker, muler, go40, ltl1, don't you feel ashamed, taking so much, while your CSPF brothers lose every thing. I might be a TROLL, but I'm not a deceiver like you.

No one should ever feel bad about getting the pay they negotiate for period.

Poor Bubba, how does a man proving what you can gain by solidarity turn into bragging ? And how does that translate into being deceptive? I understand it stings but we made a lot of sacrifices over the last 5 years and will continue to for the next 5 to keep it well funded. Instead of turning it around to be about you, why not be happy for him ? I agree that our leadership should be commended for a job well done.

First off I DON'T care what you think. Second I'm letting the men who still have business with ABF know what we received. Stay strong New England and New York State brothers.

No your an a$$hole & a troll....

This fake should be thrown completely off this site. Causing trouble on the ups forum and so dumb about Teamster pensions. He has no clue which fund I’m in and calls me a deciever.

If you weren’t so dumb you would know why some have higher contribution rates because they don’t have no insurance after they retire CSPF has a insurance plan after you retire. So it would make sense that up east they pay in more to get more because they have to buy outside health insurance.

So again another dumb post.

Whoa, whoa, whoa Muler, back the wagon up brother. You left out an important piece of information. Our central states insurance is only offered until Medicare is available, then we are no longer allowed to purchase medical insurance through central states. For those of us who plan on working until full retirement, no insurance through central states will be offered after retirement. And those employees who retire early, you will only be allowed to keep central states insurance until you become eligible for Medicare. Then you will not be allowed to purchase medical insurance through central states.

Please refresh my memory what caused the Central States Pension Fund go bad????
Thank you

BECAUSE JAMES R HOFFA GAVE ALL THE MONEY TO THE MOB.

Once again... ignorance rears its ugly head...

Has Labor maintained proper oversight of a special independent counsel whose appointment was a condition of the 1982 federal consent decree that broke the grip of organized crime at the fund?

Real estate investments in Las Vegas casinos and hotels once threatened the integrity of a Teamsters pension fund that the federal government wrested away from corrupt trustees and organized crime after five years of legal battles.

A quarter-century later, the professionals who replaced them—Central States Pension Fund administrators; the Goldman Sachs & Co. and Northern Trust Global Advisors fiduciaries; and Department of Labor regulators—stood watch while the financial markets accomplished what the mob had failed to: which was to smash the fund’s long-term solvency with massive money-losing investments.

I would think their answer is the same as mine....NO! I am getting what was contractually negotiated for me....if some plans and areas get more than me, it means they had even better negotiators....MOVE ON!

Kennesaw, you've got all of the information and your willing to share it. As apposed to Canary, docker and muler who wanted to keep total compensation a secret during the new contract period. Kennesaw, please post the total compensation for all bargaining units. Wages, pensions and health care.

Kennesaw, we need facts not propaganda.

Now how would I have that? I am referring to Homesick's post about NOT being able to insurance from Central States......Homesick? If you voted on the ABF contract you would already have that there in front of you, would you not?
