TForce | Teamsters or APWA (All Threads Merged)

nospin,
While they are planning to build a pension fund, How does this help the thousands of upsf employee's that will retire within the next few years. Where will the money come from if there is not enough money built up in such a short time with this new union.

You know you do have a very good point BusterNight.
The Teamsters have been around since the 20's they have everything together for the most part as far as unions go.
The APWA just starting up may be a good idea for their founders, but it looks like its still in the dream stage, and will take a lot of years to get up,and running.
In the mean time what would us older workers have to look forward to?

Oh,my this new union may be a great idea but they have a lot of holes to fill,to make it work well enough for all of us to jump on board!

Thats a good one hugnlug.
Your a funny guy.
I'm still thinking its ok to stay a non-union company.
What do you think about that.
Is this something you can really have a good laugh over,my posting friend?

Well I can say if things were presented to us in a different way , and we were not left in the dark all the time,my vote would be no.

The APWA is all smoke and mirrors no matter what their nice, polite little representatives on here say. Nospinzone said it all in the thread "The APWA has been invited to......" He said that the people who funded the APWA are "UPS supporters". There was no mention by him that the funders were Union supporters, which is what they should be.....very telling.........I told him that his little Freudian slip had revealed the truth and thanked him for admitting it.

Copy!!!!! Like adding salt to a steak.....

Spin that quote as you wish, but I was pointing out that APWA supporters were UPS employees only. As opposed to Teamsters who has people from Yellow Freight, Carhaulers, and the dozen other companies that only want UPSF to be organized so as to save their pensions by ****** the UPSF pension. Now, if you dont mind sacrificing what you could get in your retirement for that portability/socialistic model and false sense of security that IBT would give you, then maybe you should vote for the Teamsters. But whats the likelihood that UPS is going to fold?

This is the practice profile from the Labor and Employment practice of the law firm that the APWA is working with.

This does not sound like a pro union orginazation to me.

Your attacks are so old and repetitive that I just have to go back in the webboard and copy/past my reply.

11. Does APWA employ any staffers who are experienced in representing union members, as opposed to its attorney, who has expertise in union busting?
The APWA legal team and their expertise reaches far beyond the services of Tom C******. Tom C******is all the things you described him as above. His career has been a successful one which is why you speak so fondly of him. C****** sole purpose in the APWA campaign is to decerity the IBT as the UPS bargaining agent to be replaced by the APWA. Once he is successful, his relationship with the APWA will be over. With Tom C******no longer working for the APWA, the other seven or so lawyers spread from the East coast to the West coast in six different states and with long careers as pro-union legal counsel will take full responsibility for representing the APWA in legal matters. Tom C****** is just the guy that gets to make the IBT’s life hell during the decert process.

You know webidiot you have my vote to be the president of your new union.
Your not only highly qualified, but you would be the very best at promoting a union like that.
HA, HA,just my opinion

Do you work for Tom or does he work for you?

Does anyone really believe that UPS is gonna put out all the $$$ out to negotiate a contract with the Teamsters, & then do it again with the APWA?
