Its not tyranny he was told not to do it and continued anyway.
He does not own the land, he used it without paying for it.

Then he gathers these militia types carrying weapons to fend off the government. Asking for people to get killed
If he owned the land I would side with him but it doesn't belong to him, he must obey the rules like anyone else

His family has been paying for the land use since the 1800s. They dispute the govt claim because the land has always been state land until the Feds decided to call it theirs. Sorry but I side with the family. The Govt is very wrong here.

Doesn't matter if he owned or not, if he owned it Harry Ried would have used eminent domain. You like big government, we get it Magoo. Some still long for liberty.

The family has history there. Nevada allowed free range. Now Federal Bueraucracy takes over and makes new rules. I side with the family.

So; if there's ever a rule passed that you find illegal and immoral- you'll stand against government even if they kill you??? Excuse me for not believing you. :LMAO:

Free range or not if you don't own it then its not yours,

Government has lots of land out west and you can put claim to certain uses, like grazing, mining, logging and so forth. You do your filings and pay the fee and the fee every year comes due at the same time.
If you don't pay then yuy lose your lease and someone else can claim it.
People camp & hunt on it hike it ectera. Just because you lease it for say mining people are still allowed to use it for different purposes, your just there for the mining thats all
You can't tell the BLM you aint agonna pay

You can rent a apartment all your life but you never own it. The owner can sell to someone new but you still have to pay the rent or get out.
    Comprehenda ?

I comprehend just fine. Your saying that someone can come into your apt and say that they decided that they own it now instead of the apt owners and can demand that you pay them instead. Seems perfectly reasonable, Not.

cool they back down then all the ranchers will decide not to pay, all the loggers and miners too.
I have no idea what ranchers pay for grazing but say a mining claim of 20 acres, its only about $115 a year

If new owners say you pay them then yes thats who you give your rent to.
What difference as to who gets the payment state or Fed? The payment is due

Nevada owns the land. Apparently in Nevada anyone could graze on the land. That made it like a common area in old town squares, where no one needed any 'permit' to do whatever they wanted. I know- you're a city-slicker so you can't understand actual freedom! The Family either outright owned or used the land since the 1870s. In 93, the BLM Siezed the land to 'save a tortoise'. Did Congress say sieze it? Did Nevada give permission to have it siezed? If the family actually owned it, we're they asked, or ordered? Eminent Domain works for things like roads and railroads- not turtles.... just another example of Federal Government governing by fiat, not by the Constitution. The land belongs to the various States. There is actually no such thing as Federal Land- it's In The States. IMO... Teddy Roosevelt started this thru the National Parks. That's not found in the Constitution...

If they settled on the land and never moved since 1800's, then squatters rights are in affect.. It's the family land.. Case closed.. The Feds can sue or kick them off of it, but I don't know a judge in court that would grant the Feds the rights to the land...

Then, the family in turn counter sues and gets compensation... Taxpayers lose...
