In 2013 the vote completely flipped when we were facing a strike.

An overwhelming no vote by mail on the first vote became an overwhelming yes on the second vote.

The same is likely to happen this year. The majority of employees are not looking to strike right before the holidays in the freezing cold.

There is a very vocal minority on the internet but the silent majority are going to vote with their wallets and not with their hearts. It's just human nature.

It happened in 2013 and it's going to happen again in 2018.

They did that for a few reasons, one was to keep good will with the shippers, the other to show us they arent bluffing, they will shut down if we strike.

I know it stressful, but the contract will pass. The majority of employees dont want to lose their jobs before the holidays.

The zealots will scream from the roof tops, but the silent majority will pass the contract. Just as they did in 2013.

The only difference is that this time they offered nothing. No dangling carrot.

If it does pass it will just valudate UPS’s hunch that the union membership is extremely weak!

I think they want out of the Freight business all together and this is their Avenue to do it and blame it on you guys

I don't believe that, they just are doing what they think is best for the corporation. They want a freight company, just a profitable one. We are small potatoes though, if we become too much of a headache, they will cut it loose.

You can keep repeating the lie that UPS Freight isn’t profitable, but the CEO of UPS, David Abney says otherwise. He signed off on the reports to the SEC. Are you suggesting he lied?

I didn't say they weren't profitable, I said they want to be profitable, and they aren't giving anymore money, because they say they wish to remain profitable.

Yes the union is weak. When did you first discover this? Fred Zuckerman campaigned on this exact message. It's weak because of it's president who ratified a contract and left us out to dry.

hoffa jr has been planning this all along, you guys were as good as dead in the water as soon as he found a loophole to ram a :shit:ty 2 tier contract thru....

At what point do we call out the Entitled Children on this forum? You know the ones who firmly believe that they are Entitled to someone's Profits just because you work for them? We are the highest compensated LTL Freight workers in the industry and your going to Drivel on and on how the company has X amount of profit and its unfair for them to have so much money. That is Socialist Bull crap and you need to remember that UPS will do what the Market dictates as far as hourly wages are concerned. Maybe on the next contract you guys could concentrate on things that are actually REAL problems instead of Demanding money from your employer, who is probably feeling Disrespected buy its workforce and may actually be playing a huge part in this shut down of the system.
