Obama care failure locally, wrecking lives, 28 year old gal, bit slow, lives with married sister, day cares a toddler ($60 week income). Was before covered on her sister's husband private insurance, paid by family for a rider policy. Obama care causes family insurance to be canceled, can't find anything for slow sister, her income is based on household income, not her's. NOT eligible for ANY Obama care or medi care unless she moves out into a rest home. Oh, Family is without ANY insurance due to it costing 400% more than past policy.

There's a process. Anyone can propose anything. Getting it ratified is a long, costly process. How much will you put up to fund your nirvana?

Insurance costs started climbing when Teddy Kennedy stuck government's nose in it in late 80s with new regs called HMOS. Actually, even before that with LBJ's MedicAid/ Medicare because government dictates reimbursements to Dr's and Hospitals while dictating what is covered.

If we are going to force coverage, deregulate the croniness of government/private contracts! Ease regs, and let insurers compete across state lines like other insurance. Let people choose ala carte', and get government out of the medical business (except for the truly indigent). It's our individual responsibility to pay our own bills. ObamaCare has caused more to be uninsured than were before. When the Employer Mandate (UnConstitutional anyway- President's are charged to Enforce, not Interpret Laws)- as many as 160 million could lose coverage...

In the end- this law makes Government The Decider/ The Provider thru the 15 member board that sets the regs. I already have my God and government ain't it...

Nope. Here's where you're wrong. Those who didn't pay for their health care before still won't be paying for their health care. Most of them have either switched over to Medicaid, Medicare, or they will qualify for subsidies. (which means that they still won't be paying anything)

There is a bill from the Republicans laying on Obama's desk that has this info. in it...........and he won't even acknowledge it.

It's single payer or bust. And it's looking like "bust" will be the result.

Since when did a hospital have the right to turn people away for healthcare? I must be living in a different dimension than you... No hospital in the State of Louisiana can or have in the recent passed(the last 30 years at least), turned anyone away because they had no insurance,,,, Where do you people live that this goes on.. It's inhumane.... It's just like the subject of "pre-existing illness", the State of Louisiana has had that law for years.. If you(as an insurance company) don't cover pre-existing conditions, you don't sell insurance here....

But now with the ACA, they can.....LOL... Funny how things that are suppose to help people, actually harms them, isn't it.... It had to have been a freakin' Picasso to come up with this piece of art,huh....LOL

And now they won't be paying for "preventive" care either...that's the only difference really. They basically just tacked on more free stuff for people already getting free stuff. That's what Obama's ALL about afterall
