What I envision is this;

If there are 2 hotels in a town, which one is better/ plusses and minuses of each.

Where are the places to eat.

Where are the places NOT to eat.

Anything to avoid?

Internet access, etc?

Who wants to go first????!!!!

At CGB, we have the Days Inn and the Bridgeview. I lived at the Days Inn for most of the first three months I was here. It's decent, but there aren't alot of places to eat within walking distance. From what I hear the Bridgeview is a rathole.

Bridgeview

The trick to staying at the bridgeview is to request a room in back. Its kinda like louge seating in a porno house. I prefer it over Days Inn, since you can eat, drink, shop and hang out for free at the nudie bar all in one bed. The front is a motel, the back a hotel.

WDC- Red Roof first, then Best Western, then the Carrolton, this place has the nastiest rooms I think I've ever stayed in. Crack vile in the coffee basket last time there tells you something. Run down dump.
BLT- The Red Roof the farthest away is pretty nice, the motel 6 is a crackhouse.
HGR- The Super 8 has clean rooms. If no rooms there go to the Plaza across 81 on the left.
Things are looking up at the Bridgeview, cept I heard we lost the good looking peep show working behind the desk.

I went to the Days Inn a few times instead of the Bridgeview after guys said it was so much better......I sure didn't see why they thought that. The van service is anything but regular, there is not coffee in the rooms, which would have been an improvement. I went back to the Bridgeview after those 2 times, and that was almost 2 years ago. Now they say that the 'View' has been purchased by somebody who is going to spend some money on improvements. I'll continue to stay there....plus, it's about 1 minute from the terminal.

Forgot the Bridgeview has cable internet access in room 101, at least till it gets shut down from downloading p*on

Last time I was at the view they were installing wireless internet. And they have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms now.

As long as Indy has a bar, the old guys will make sure it's safe as kittens.

What a craphole!!!!!

just stayed at the new hotel for Kansas City, the Clarion. I really don't think it's an improvement. Sure it's a nice hotel, the rooms are huge and you have a pancake house open till 11am in the morning and an Irish bar and grill open after that. The main problem is that it took a long time to check in (although it was the first day of staying there). The restaurant (the bar and grill) was okay. Prices for everything except steaks were reasonable. The problem with the room was this it was too big and the air conditioner took a long time to cool it off. Seems we were better off at the Best Western where we really didn't have to deal with much.

Memphis.

Only stayed at the Airline Inn (?). A dump, and scary. But I am told it is better than the alternative.

Anybody else???

Two good motels at CGN Wingate wich in my opinion is the best place I have stayed anyplace, and the Best Western and that is also a good place to stay.Glad I work out of Buf That Super 8 leaves alot to be disired.I don`t know what happened but they used to stay at the Holiday Inn on Grand Island and that was a great place.

Bar at Indy is closed the last time I was there. Holland drivers drank all the beer
That must be why CottenTop gave up drinking. I thought it was his mom told him too!!!:smilie_132:

The Fourth Floor, always ask for the Fourth Floor. Most of the "liveins" on that floor are only disfunctional. Most of the prostitutes won't pay the higher rate.
