And this latest update:
day 1 of week 7

rider alongs continue for p&d

Pat Reed arrived with soft hands and ONE HUNDRED pounds of tri-tip along with the manager from chico and his smoker in transit for the Last Supper.

I also got texts that the fedex distractions machine is running full bore and its running low on material apparently.

Today visiting managers approached our co-workers with a copy of the Larry Emens story and proceeded to slander his character and tell drivers that the story is a lie.

This is exactly what we expected. The company has once again shown us all how low its willing to stoop and it has taken the bait hook line and sinker.

Fedex has no topics of substance to discuss at this point but to proceed to tear down a single dad that was shown the door. He was fired and denied his unemployment which subsequently cause the man to lose his house, move his boy away from his friends and move in with his brother 20 miles away.

The joke in question was told 2nd hand, but even then no manager hated this man! No customer ever had complained about him prior. he never had any past disciplinary actions against him. So for the company to make it a point to keep tearing down a great friend to a lot of us is offensive.

One day Longer, One day Stronger

WAR IN STOCKTON

There is a war going on at our Stockton terminal of "fear and intimidation " at the companies anti union meetings. If five employees are in attendance , there are ten managers. Also there are fedex security, our Pinkerton's, of our times, on hand. Who's job is to stand behind drivers who start disagreeing with the guest union buster , a CEO, hr, or high ranking official, to intimidate these strong will drivers who challenge the speaker.

Ride along, or " Profiling" continues not only in Stockton, also in FRO, SBO and around SoCal. These Profiling rides will be used to get information on drivers at each location to use in FedEx's anti union campaign against us.

If you go on these rides, notice how much the managers Are on their phones, like teenage little girls, texting back to whoever is going to use this info.

This great company's founder was a Marine back in the day. Who served this country to protect our American rights to organize under Federal Law!
I am not avocating that Mr. Smith is directly involved. But someone gave the "green light" to Arkansas .

So much for that "Purple Promise"
Fight on Stockton drivers! The West Coast and all of the US are with you!

Be Wise And Organize

Just a little quote from the Express segment from their organizing history. I think the former marine forgot about his loyalty a long time ago.

" 1991 Desert Storm operation begins and crew members are activated to Reserve and National Guard units. FedEx is the only major carrier to terminate all benefits (medical, dental, insurance, etc.) for its activated personnel and their families. Benefits are reinstated only if participant pays monthly fees."

More updates from Stockton:

day 2 week 7

ride alongs continue

Well Pat Reed did his speech and we all sat down and tried to stay awake. He asked if there was any questions and again we all stood in solidarity and said nothing.

The general mood from management was that it was over... The big shots stood around on the phones, looking down and kicking around rocks. The smell of defeat was burning their nose hairs.

The tri-tip was again cooked to perfection and we feasted and enjoyed our last supper together with our co-workers. We all realize it will take another earth shaking event before we enjoyed another BBQ like the ones we have had over the last 7 weeks.

day 3 week 7

For the 1st day in weeks we noticed the managers are not lining the front door to greet us... hmmm

right away we get the sense managers are up to something.

Through out the day co-workers where getting calls from drivers in surrounding centers about things that they where seeing and hearing and it was clear that FedEx had one last trick up their sleeve.

The campaign distractions machine revved up one last time and FedEx has found a way to circumvent the "cooling off period" by useing the rumor mill to spread FEAR.

Reports came in late afternoon that regional managers and pat reed were visiting the 2 closest centers to us to planning in case STK voted in the union. The neighboring Managers had also started giving hints to its drivers that if STK votes in the union they plan to be VERY busy.

Drivers also reported that rental equipment was being staged at neighboring center around

It is clear that they where going to use the same tactic that worked in getting Louisville, KY and West Virgina to vote no.

They were going to use the rumor mill to trying and convey the message back to STK that it was going to be shut down if the union was voted in.

Luckily we had planned for this and we are all baulking at their silly attempt to instill fear.

Legally, logistically, and pure logic is all you need to see its just another attempt to bully us.

Once again we are shown who the real thugs amongst us really are.

Voting begins today in Stockton.
