David Brooks: The Republican Party is producing "leaders of jaw-dropping incompetence"
    http://www.vox.com/2015/10/13/9521719/david-brooks-republican-party?ref=yfp

Over the past 30 years, or at least since Rush Limbaugh came on the scene, the Republican rhetorical tone has grown ever more bombastic, hyperbolic and imbalanced. Public figures are prisoners of their own prose styles, and Republicans from Newt Gingrich through Ben Carson have become addicted to a crisis mentality. Civilization was always on the brink of collapse. Every setback, like the passage of Obamacare, became the ruination of the republic. Comparisons to Nazi Germany became a staple.

    This produced a radical mind-set.

The result is a party that has convinced its voters that America needs a political revolution and is now surprised to find its voters turning to revolutionaries. "These insurgents are incompetent at governing and unwilling to be governed," Brooks says. "But they are not a spontaneous growth. It took a thousand small betrayals of conservatism to get to the dysfunction we see all around."

It is if you use it. Archimedes said he could move the world with a lever and a place to stand.

Don't worry. This is why democrates are so hated. They all think they are smarter than everyone else. Just ask one.

And all the "Conservatives" think they are smarter than everyone else.....Just ask one........ That is just one problem with the system..... Everyone thinks "their side" is the best and has all the answers, and thus so, are unwilling to see the broader spectrum ..... This produces a polarizing effect that hinders forward progress by making "compromise" appear as a sign of weakness or "caving in" to the "otherside".... When you have two opposing parties that can't, or won't, come to a consensus with one another on important matters we get what we are currently experiencing in the political arena.....

we have witnessed the democrat geniuses in action for decades
    look at our cities
Chicago, Buffalo, Baltimore, LA (and city in CA)
listen to O Malley trying to justify 100000 arrests in a city of less than 700,000
look at the areas of poverty and plight mostly if not all controlled by Dems for generations

How dumb are the people to keep voting for the same people over and over again

(during the debate O Malley was talking about what his predecessor left him, his predecessor was a Dem in fact it has been nearly 50 years since a Rep was mayor)

when was the last time the left "compromised" on anything

The current congress was put into place to stop Barry's agenda, that is what they ran on, they got there and they caved on everything. That is why people like Trump,, Carson and Foiria (sp) are doing so well. We are sick of career politicians who tell you what you want to hear the month before and election then do the opposite when in office.

The 'Brilluant' O'Malley was voted out because, once he ran out of things to tax, he taxed 'estimated rain water runoff'. Even untraliberal Maryland didn't fall for the story that taxing rain will stop 'Climate Change'...

My town tax rain water runoff too. Most other places take care of that in the regular budget
Well you wouldn't understand living in the woods with septic tank and well water
you don't know how good you have it
You probably save over $1200 a year
