It's very popular at that particular bar and all the bars in that neighborhood. I think the yuppies like it because it's cheap. The stuff sells believe it or not. Out at Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio they go through Carling's Black Label Beer like crazy!

I watched the 2002 film Gangs of New York any of you guys ever see that film?
I don't recall my history classes in school teaching about the New York City Draft riots during the civil war.
I thought that movie was a pretty good film, that being said though Cameron Diaz is an awful actress and I really can't stand her, but other then that, though it wasn't a bad movie.

I tell you this much though stuff was screwed up back then like it's screwed up now. I couldn't imagine living in the 5 points neighborhood in the 1800s with all the filth and back stabbing it was like a 3rd world country.

You mean they still make Black Label?? I sold that stuff in NC many years ago. I actually took shelf space and cooler space from the Bud guy, Miller guy, and the Coors guy. Soon after, the Coors distributor hired me to get me out of his pocket, then the Bud distributor hired me and gave me a car to drive to keep an eye on the supervisors. After a few years, the road called and I went OTR. I'm still mad at the road for that.

Lorain County, Ohio the cities of Oberlin and Wellington are huge consumers of Carling's Black Label. Treemont Neighborhood here in Cleveland takes a lot of Black Label as well. It's real popular with the college aged and yuppie crowd.

My very first beer, a Carling Black Label, was @ my billet family home in Thunder Bay, for hockey camp.

    I was 14.

That was more than a few years and beers, ago!

yes, i saw that movie about the era of Tammany Hall i believe... Tammany Hall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

now as far as Miss. Cameron Diaz is concerned, she may not be the very "best" actress out there, or she may not be the most beautiful actress out there....

but she DOES HAVE nice long legs.....oh man what i'd like to do......(what most other guys would like to do)...ahem...more on that later...

for many of us.......it HAS BEEN a few years and beers ago.....

I can't do a thing about the ads, I don't even see them quite frankly, but I can see to it the guidelines of the forum and content we post are met.

I always get Carling Black Label when I go to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is stronger than the local beer and they don't carry it down here.
