53297 put out of service 6-22-16. Management had dockmen load the trailer to OWA that night without repaiirs being made. The trailer didn't make it. It caught on fire.
The fine for puting out of service equipment on the road is at least $10,000.
Management knew, the Teamster who put the trailer to the dock knew, (red tag) the linehaul man missed the defects on his pretrip inspection.
You can't make this stuff up!

Drop a dime on them next time you see this happening to the state police motor carrier enforcement. But if the driver takes it out on public roads on his own and did a poor pretrip, he may have a problem also.
