TForce | this ones for non union members

just a thought

Topic:QUOTE=galaxy99dx;640428]Yup, hes well on his way to turning this into the next big socialist country.[/QUOTE]

your right ,didnt say he nor did i say the union is perfect.but nothing is perfect.:Off-Topic:

Axl, I don't know where you're getting your info from, but the legislation you're talking about won't do anything but make it easier for people trying to organize a company to get the union in. It wont force non-union terminals to go union unless the want to.

Well friend, let me just ask....Who do you work for?
Overnite is history....sad but true. The day UPS took control of us,they stripped the slogan " OUR PEOPLE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE" off of the trailers. THAT spoke volumes to me and many others too.
Did I vote for the union and continue to support it on a casual whim??No ... I did my research and talked to package guys involved in all aspects of the operation.
WELL.... One theme arose time and time again...if you aren't represented, you will be taken advantage of and cheated at every turn. Seniority will not be followed and your rights as an employee....Oh yeah..you have no rights,it's the company way or the highway. A jerk TM? He can pull any garbage he wants to try and fire you. With the union, there is a contract to follow. No games like favoritism etc. because it's all in black and white.
I feel that if we were still the big "O",the union wouldn't work out,but with corporate UPS, we are not people, but tools and no better than a hand truck.
They throw out old hand trucks don't they??

To tell you the truth, the best way to run a business in this country is the way UPS does it, no nonsense, strict rules, and they make a lot of money. I hope one day we will be as financially secure as UPS. Follow the rules, do a good job and file a grievance if your wronged. What could be better than that? The Teamsters and UPS and me, all the way to a secure retirement.:shift:

Thats a good philosophy if your not a road driver.

not talking about forcing them what im talking about is people at union terminals that get the benifits that we/union members are paying dues for and they dont....in right to work states.:Flame-On:

OK, roaddrivers make more money. You give up your afternoon athletic games with your family because you must get your rest. working nites puts you on a completely different schedule than your family. How much money do you think your family time is worth.

All free-loaders must be ostracized. Don't speak to them, and watch them like hawks. You can do a lot of good by seeing if these free-loaders get any special treatment, file a grievance on it and make very public. Show these free-loaders that nothing is free and get on board and pay your dues! You take the raises and other benefits of the contract, yet you think your above the dues? You guys make me sick! Pieces of ::shit::

You can't put a monitary value on family time. What I was refering to was galaxy statment of philosaphy of STEWARDs statement of the way UPS conducts its business, it makes no difference road driver or not.

a little of base arnt you:Off-Topic:this has to do with what?

Because UPS's philosophy is to use contractors when it specifically says in the contract if there is freight generated in both directions it has to be hauled by a member of the bargaining party. Not cancell bids, then all of a sudden there is freight but it all goes on contractors.
