XPO | Time for a change!!!!!

I put lipstick on and made out with myself in the mirror. Not one complaint. :hide:
......Now that just grossed me out.

It is definately time for a change.

My terminal is in desperate need of a change. Starting from the management down to even some of the fos's. The more you do for them the more they want and treat u like crap. They are greedy f***kers. They need to clean house and start over. I think everyone is getting a lil fed up with favoritism in our terminal too. We need that to stop and we all know what i mean. Maybe G.O. should know what goes on. I dont know but i know one thing is that a couple of people would be looking for a new job. Guess what their spot would be busted.:busted_blue: But something needs to be done soon.

I think someone in HR has the same idea about FOS positions. There are 27 positions throughout the US for field management trainees.

I think they hire these guy/gals off the street, usually with a college degree. They spend time at several locations learning different aspects/functions of our operation.

They sent us one in Mentor last year and I gotta say we lucked out. Bright, even keeled, and treated everyone well. He's here in Cleveland now.

What is this Field Management position and what do you do?

This is a little known position at Con-Way!!!

The thrust here is to corner the market on tequila...

The Field Management postions oversee the the Blue Agave fields in Mexico...to assure only the finest quality Tequila is served with the Blue Kool-Aid offered at the managerial hoe-downs....

Rat

College grads to be trained to manage facilities someday, starting at the FOS level...I won't even interview them unless they have been on a freight dock in some capacity..

Pretty interesting.
I agree, you want to be a green company and be as efficient as possible, but than again, don't want to hire a green employee with no knowledge.

Hmm, maybe it's a good thing? Get a green guy with a Business management type degree who might just have the mentality to run a business. All he needs is his first lily pad to land on.

Do drivers with a college background qualify?
Are they doing this because most drivers do not want to advance to an FOS and above position.

I thought they were put out on border patrol or pressing the button on the NAFTA gate.

Boxboss did 200 miles of sales calls today...at least we landed the business immediately in 2 of the 3 calls...3rd one is going to need some more work...otherwise, very boring day..shadow would have slept through most of it..
You did a bunch of vias today! :biglaugh:
Not me. I wouldn't sleep, I'm an ice breaker. I would have helped you land the third one the first time.:smilie_132: I love customer service and sales.
The only part I hate would be answering to the pissed off new customer.

You know what, you are right...That's not fair of me...So I will use the term "uninformed" from here on out...way too many uninformed people went to the polls and voted just because, take your pick:

1. wanted to be part of history in the making
2. saw free money coming their way
3. wanted to be part of history in the making
4. he knew how to use the internet
5. wanted to be part of history in the making
6. he shoots hoops
7. wanted to be part of history in the making
8. he smoked pot in college, and yes, inhaled
9. wanted to be part of history in the making
10. Home state is Hawaii (forget all that corrupt Chicago garbage)
11. wanted to be part of history in the making
12. he goes to the gym everyday..
13. Race (shhhhhh, don't say that out loud)
14. wanted to be part of history in the making

Give Obie credit...he was bold faced honest with the American people...he said, "If you work hard, I am going to screw you and give your money to those who don't have the ambition to work hard"...62 million people heard the message and didn't vote for change..I was among them..

For the rest of you change mongers, it is history in the making...hell, even the chinese don't want to invest in us now...the Europeans believe we are headed for ruin, including the socialist governments over there...got a chance to shut this spending machine down in 2010, if it's not too late...be a little more "informed" this time....PLEASE....

i try to explain this to ppl all the time, during this election, all these ppl came out of the woodworks and suddenly had political opinions and wanted to vote. This past election had the highest voter turnout in a while, which is not necessarily a good thing because it increases the number of "un-informed" voters out there who for the most part like boxboss said just wanted to be part of history, or wow, cool a black president that sounds cool lets vote for him. If the majority of americans can be fooled to vote for something they are so ill-informed about just because you distract them with something like "first black president" and the whole idea about this can only happen in america, then we are in trouble.

dont get me wrong, im all for equalism, and no matter who you are, being rewarded for the hard work you do and can someday be the president of the USA. But that is not what you are voting for, and those are small issues compared to being the leader of the most powerful country in the world and pulling it out of the mess it's in.

dont ppl see that something is wrong when the higly affluent areas (wealth and education) of the country lean more towards conservatism, and the lower-income, government dependant, lower-educated population make up more of the liberal voters. Instead, they like to demonize the "rich" and make it seem like they are the bad guys and the poor are the victims. When was the last time a poor person gave me a job, and what ever happened to working hard or getting an education will lead you to success, including financially, as opposed to doing nothing and feeling like a victim all the time.

3rd one wants some pricing that I don't believe will be anything close to profitable for us, but we will let the pricing department decide..
